Heeey guuurrrllss,
Just wondered if anyone has changed from a regular mouse to a Wacom, not for drawing proposes, but purely to use it as a mouse for everyday stuff.
I think it would be a lot more comfortable and more natural. Thinking of getting a standard intuos small or medium (with touch).
Anyone got any experience?
Thanks! :D

That's all I use. Mine came with a mouse for the rest of the fam to use. I stick to the pen, feels more natural to me, the mouse is so clunky.
- you did call the gurrls out. lolsea_sea
- I switched over to the wacom pen when my wrist started hurting, aprox 3 years ago. no more pain. ;)sea_sea
- haha i did call the gurls! thanks sea :DHombre_Lobo

can't even use a mouse anymore. Definitely go for it. Took me bout a week and a half to fully adjust. Much easier to use.
Think the hardest part to learn is how to hold it when u need to use the keyboard. I swing the pen into my hand and hold it with the inside of my thumb and hand which frees up my fingers for typing (hand holds pen while I type, can't use thumb tho since it's holding pen)

I do this. Haven't used a mouse for years.
- I used to to misplace the pen a lot and couldn't operate the computer without searching the damn thinggrotesk_neue
- haha, good stuff!Hombre_Lobo
- Once I had to buy a new one, so that I was able to work. Retrieved the 'old' one the same day though. Now I have two, just in case.grotesk_neue
- lol i set mine on the pen dock. it's the only way to not walk off with it and set it down in some random forgotten place. lolsea_sea

Never use a mouse. Been using the pen for all computer needs since '98.

Using the INTUOS medium, it's a good size.
I only switch to the mouse when I need to more precision over tracing shapes with the pen tool.

I've heard the ergonomics are better and I tried to switch about 6 or 7 years ago.
I only made it a few hours.
I love my logitech mouse.

Get a medium for desktop and small for laptop use. I have both. Someone said that using a mouse is like using a bar of soap to draw.

I have to use multiple computers daily. It's just not convenient for me to get used to tablet other than drawing and retouching.

been using a wacom for everything for the past 10 years... never going back

When I tried it the first time around, I ended up using mouse at the end of each day, not even remembering when I had switched back.
I hid the mouse for a few days to force myself to use the tablet and have been using Wacom only since, it's been some 5 years now.
I got Apple Trackpad at some point, but I don't really need it. I only use it for scrolling pages, the pen is not a natural tool to do scroll with.

I switched to wacom around 6 years ago and really don't want to go back to mouse.
Few months ago got new job and they don't have wacom and I am too lazy to bring my own. Tried few days with mouse and then changed to trackpad. Still seems much more better then mouse. But maybe because that when travelling I only used trackpad.

Haven't used a mouse in 16 years. A Wacom is great- when people come over they can't fuck with your computer ;]
- haha top tip!Hombre_Lobo
- lol exactly. love that, i sometimes hide the mouse. they're screwed.sea_sea
