The thing about ISIS/L is theyve been around a long time. Theyre the ones that did all those beheadings in the early 2000s. That seems to be most of what they do, bark a lot, behead some people, some suicide bombings, all on their soil. The point is, what can they actually do on US soil at this point? Are they really that big of a threat to the US itself?

    • source that isis/l/fas/queada goes back to early 2000, not that I don't believe you, but would love to read your sourcesGeorgesIV
    • Google it! But their history is compiled on wikipedia. Theyve been around a long time.CygnusZero4

and its a question of time before US citizens, Canadian citizens or British citizens come back from those training camps and makes terror attacks once back home.

Invisible ennemy and crawling ideas are much harder to destroy than an army of 2 milions soldiers.

All that leads to NSA scandals, CIA wants to catch threats in the egg. But people don't want the gov. to check their stuff. How can you stop normal people from doing terrorist attacks? It's like winning lottery.

    George's a simple question:

Who in your opinion is more evil. As in who shall we fear.

1.) Top brass at the Pentagon

1.) Top ranking Lieutenants with ISIS

Or optional answer: "There is no such thing as evil, we shouldn't fear anything."

    • believe me there are tons of evil men/women on this plane of existence, now off course a top brass of the pentagon is more evil than a top ranking lt of isis, who do you think gave them their brief and business planGeorgesIV

@ hijo, no offense taken mate,
( sorry I just can't do the small 4 line box thing)

If you take a serious look at our planet's history, you can see that it's in human nature to screw over other people,

at this point I believe if we don't want to wake up to the fact that there's a small but powerful percentage of humans that will screw us over to gain power over us, I don't know what else to say,

human history is riff with conspiracies/backstabbings of all kind, are we so evolved to believe it's not happening now and it's all because of the stupidity of the people in power,

comon, I know I'm supposed to be cynical but at this point, it's crazy to think that everything happens by pure chance, once you start coming out of the msm mentality there's a clear pattern that you start seeing, it's been repeated so many times that it's almost laughable..

now I've got a question for you,
Who do you think has brought more misery to this world.

    a) the military industrial complex
    b) al quaeda
    c) saddam ussein
    d) putin
    e) isis

(inb4 I get attack by US zealots, I would like to point that nowhere did I ever said the word USA)

    thank you

    • its a 2 part question. psycopaths and people who nothing to stop them = good food source...yurimon
  • GeorgesIV0

Sorry I glossed over the second part of your question. As I said before I've met enough people in power to know that they are not evil, but one thing you have to understand is, they are not like us, they will never be like us and it's hard for them to understand them and vice versa.

So will I become and evil despot if I ever become powerful, no because I could have risen many time at higher position but chicken out because I'm not cut for it, I can't barely order my son to put away his toys, how am I supposed to tell others to do their work correctly,

I despise authority and those who use is to screw us all, but don't take me for a pacifist, I believe everyone has the right to defend themselve, be israel or palestinians,

what I don't accept is people inserting themselves in situations that aren't theres to involves themselve in then fuckn thing up then wondering a decade later why things are fucked up,

people in developed country seem to never understand that some countries need a dictator to keep things in check, how can we ask for a country that is barely 500yo to understand tribal systems that go back 2000 and more year in the past.

Well its tough to answer your question because you just can't compare something like the Military Industrial Complex and Saddam Hussein. Two different animals completely.

I can tell you that the U.S. Allies or even U.S. MIlitary alone has done more GOOD then all those others combined. From saving generations from tyranny, genocide, starvation, slaughter, natural disasters of all kinds have been done by organized militaries of allied nations and have resulted in good and peace.

When Eisenhower spoke of the Military Industrial Complex he said we should fear it and avoid it. He didn't say it IS and has always been. Of course I'm not saying that greed and power hungry people and war mongers don't exists. But a lot of the rhetoric here on QBN is basically the military are Baby Killers mentality from Vietnam. Now I admit I may be biased since I was a U.S. Marine for five years.

And what about James Foley and Daniel Pearl did those guys die for some invisible evil? Were these events all made up by the media and our war pigs around a big round table in some dark room? Do you think about the families of these guys? the colleagues of theirs that are still there trying to find truth and tell stories? the students they taught and inspired at Universities across the world?

sorry i'm rambling at this point

look hijo, I've got plenty of jar heads and friends in the US mil, sadly the brainwashing is quite effective, I remember trying to tell them saddam had nothing to do with 9/11 or that he didn't have WMDs but it was like talking to plants,

Hijo you might find this Wiki article illuminating, I think everyone should read it to get a sense of the reality of U.S. foreign policy

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cov…

As far as "evil" goes it's a very subjective thing, everyone is doing good from their own point of view. However I think it's beyond question that U.S. policy played a large part in creating ISIS. Was watching TV just now and they were talking about how much of the ISIS military leadership is due to former generals from the Iraqi military which was disbanded on U.S. orders.

Additionally, the only reason ISIS was able to gain control over such a large part of Syria is because of the civil war and weakening of the central government there, something the U.S. helped fund and support. The CIA is running training bases where they arm and fund Syrian rebels, and whether they were directly trained or not many of those weapons found their way into ISIS hands.

Now everyone is terrified of ISIS but no one want to look at the background and causes of that group.

    • checking it out now. looks like a list of times the U.S. had to "get it's hands dirty"HijoDMaite

I'm with George on this one.

Little secret is that i used to be a conservative republican - i would come up with all sorts of reasoning why what i "believed" in was correct - i would even this logic. So i can understand the mentality of those on the right. Sadly, it needs to be said that, it often comes out of ignorance (willing or not). The more i would read, the more documentaries i would watch - the harder it was to confirm my "believes" to the world around me. You collect enough information and facts that you have to face up your own BS.

As G pointed out, at some point the systems operating here are banally easy to comprehend. Yes, if you get to a top spot you ARE a psychopath or ARE on your way to become one. Period. Look into ANY history book and you will see examples proving just that. So in essence i fear more the industrial complex (as one of the multiple choice questions given above) than any of the terrorist groups, and yes i fear more the top brass in the military than any of the terrorist leaders. For once the military guy has more toys at his disposal and also has LAW behind him. Again, not that every top guy up there is a psychopath but basic behavioral science teaches you how quickly people relinquish moral responsibility for their action (in case you are curios it's as little as one step of separation - did you ever wonder why there is guy giving commands to the execution squad? i hope you didn't speculate it was so that they nicely fire at the same time...).

Why doesn't the UN just mandate an Islamic state incorporating the shittiest parts of northern Iraq and Syria and funnel all these cunts there...let them do whatever the fuck they want to do to each other.

  • BuddhaHat0

We westerners have been getting involved in this shit for far too long. It was Churchill that sat down with some mates and arbitrarily drew the lines for what became Iraq in 1920, and then in 1948 Israel was created by the west. More recently the invasions of Iraq and subsequent complete fucking disasters as a result of a change in power structure (Sunnis being unseated by Shias, etc) have been all of our doing.
The ethnic and tribal groups that inhabit the region have been co-existing and warring for literally thousands of years, going back to before the alleged birth of Jesus Christ. Americans hated the British not more than two to three hundred years ago, the Koreans 60 years ago, the Vietnamese 40 years ago, but that's all forgotten and now it's Boko Haram or IS or whoever else is drawing the most media attention. We really have no comprehension of the depth of these tribal/religious relationships, and every time the west gets involved it makes things worse. Through its actions, the US did help create IS, and sadly I think the faction they have created is so dangerous that they need to be wiped out. They're not dangerous to me sitting here in Australia, or you sitting somewhere in the US, but in their region they are brutally murdering/decapitating/executing everyone they come across who they consider an infidel, and the indoctrination of the youth will guarantee decades more of this if it isn't stomped out soon.

ISIS's goal isn't to fight the US, it's to overthrow Muslim nations and unite them under a single theocratic authority. It's an old-fashioned land grab, not terrorist strikes against targets oceans away.
