How can I prevent firefox from overflowing my pseudo element? It seems to be ignoring overflow and box-sizing.. I'm really scratching my head here.

view in Firefox and another browser for comparison.
Haaalp!

never had that problem

update your firefox?

I have latest version...
Do you see the overflow?
I only stops if I remove all the paddings and margins of the surrounding elements. Can't figure this one out. Already searched google and Stack overflow... Shit is driving me crazy

adding a width of 185px on the li fixed it for me

but the width must not be fixed. It resizes to match browser height...

'Fire' what?

am I getting the issue wrong or does removing the max-height force the image to size to itself instead of 100% of the container bounding box right?
- Weyland0
so http://codepen.io/anon/pen/FlHsn… fits the container to the size (quite big) of the image ...

but that's not what I want to achieve.. it needs to stay max-height: 100%
with the li's adjusting accordingly... there lies the problem.

Do you need box-sizing at all?

Without border-box, it won't resize nicely, it would have to be some weird percentages that would not behave well. (or is there a solution I'm not seeing?)

Is this impossible to achieve? Seems weird. Must be something simple going on. What could be an alternative? Already tried with a div instead of a pseudo, same result...
