I really want to learn this to make basic mash ups...
Are there any good tutorials out there - the ones I've found seem outrageously complex
Thanks

Warp tracks, correct the pitch to make them match, then mess around.
You'll figure out.

Tons online...TONS.
Though you might be better off checking out BitWig. Which has just been released and was made by some guys who left Ableton do to their own thing.
BitWig has the warp stuff like Ableton with a more Logic feel and is a lot more stable apparently due to Plugins running in their own containers so if they crash the whole app won't suddenly go with it.
Plus, its cheaper and looks cooler :P

Not the best BitWig tutorial as his timing is terrible but yeah
Ableton (part 1, search part 2 on youtube)

Unless you're willing to dedicate yourself to learning it, don't waste your time. Ableton has a pretty steep learning curve, especially if you have no musical experience.

Try the Dubspot channel on YouTube. I noticed they have some nice tutorials.
But if you are doing super basic stuff, you can probably just follow the tutorial that comes with Ableton itself (within the program). Nice thing about Ableton Live is that it's very intuitive and easy to use for creating stuff like mixes, mash up etc

If you've no background of music making then maybe you're better off going down the N.I. Traktor Pro route and use the "Remix Decks" for doing your own mashups.
There's a shitload less to learn with a program like Traktor compared to Ableton Live or Bitwig.
