finally got an iphone. (i know, i know, i'm like a wee bit late to the party)
any "must have" apps for it?
or apps you really dig?
got VSCO CAM - love that camera app.
soundcloud is awesome too
oh and this thing called facebook (anyone else heard of it? lol)
What kind of things are you into?
- Music Making
There's allsorts of apps to recommend!
Krink, eBay, Youtube, Netflix, Google, Animoog, Minecraft, Envirobear, etc
Wasted your money. You could have got like, 5 better Android phones for the price of that, and each one would run laps around the iPhone, especially in the app department.
I mostly use Safari, Tweetbot and Whatsapp/Telegram.
photography (although VSCO cam is the best)
- only one
- giant boulder of death
- smash bandits
- MobileDN (design news feed)
- IFTT (currently using instagram likes to dropbox & instagram pic to twitter feed)
- Strava (good for cycyling)
- BRTV (listen to boiler room sets)
- Figure (music making app)
PolyTune - guitar tuning app.
Remote - allows you to control your Apple TV, laptop iTunes, etc.
iMaschine - beat maker
United Airlines (Delta, American) lets you check in, change seats, etc
Shazam - identifies songs
FiLMiC Pro - lets you shoot really nicw quality video
8mm - shoots video that looks like old 8mm film. Kinda corny but fun.
Plastic Bullet - image editing, effects
cycloramic - rotates your phone to take panoramic images...fun but useless mostly
SolFree - Solitaire...free
Words With Friends
The Dropbox app has really been helpful.
Hero Academy is the only game you need
filmic pro and 8mm both look cool - that good?
are they similar?
apple tv so you can use it on your tv. timerCam, alien blue, traktor dj, kicksend (awesome for printing photos off your phone)...
wow pretty cool stuff.
had no clue it could do so many things... lol (I had a blackberry till a few months ago)
Retrica Pro is pretty cool for photography.
OmniFocus is the only to-do app i like, and i tried like 300 of those.
Sunrise is the best calendar on iOS
Cobook for contacts
Chrome, synced with your account is a must have
AppShopper for free apps
Jittergram to create animated gifs, super simple
iPhoto, i like it better than the iOS built-in photo manager.
Feedly for RSS
Mint to know how much money you got on the road
Hero Academy, the only game you need.
Tipulator to know how much tip you should leave
Vert, for converting
Rates for converting money
ScannerPro to scan document, works like a charm
VSCO Cam for sure. Nothing else comes close anymore and their journal and grid (upload your photos to it) are great.
Blender - image overlay and editing like PS layers.
Diptic - creating collages of photos.
Mirrorgram - very cool for artistic images, mirroring, etc.
Cycloramic - awesome panoramic app that uses vibrations in the phone to turn itself when placed on a flat surface.
Flipigram - create animated slideshows to post on Instagram as a video.
Blur - cool for creating gradients from photos; nice for multiple/screen layers over photos in Blender.
Feedly - RSS reader. I'm pretty fond of this one and stepped away from Pulse.
Slayer HD - seriously great pinball game if you can get past the demonic overtones, the blood, pentagrams, blood, etc.
Strata - challenging puzzle game, will make you crazy after a while.
Threes - another game highly recommended, beautiful design, won't get bored of it.
Dots - Mentioned above. It will suck you in and own you. My high score is 622.
Gojee - Nice app for finding food and drink recipes, but a little tricky to find them because it's also a site for finding women's shoes, clothes, and lingerie.
I've also been using Evernote for a long time but wondering if I switch to Drive and Google Docs more, since their app is pretty nice as well.
