@_niko Cuba is deeply involved in Venezuela, they are in the military intelligence and they also run the national ID system.
Venezuela sends oil in exchange for teachers and other personnel working in the country.
The regime is deeply integrated and they are completely dependant on venezuelan oil, they don't want the "revolution" to end of course.
- venezuela learns from cuba how to opress their people. That is the exchange for oilhotroddy

Its 8:30 pm. I came back home early tonite. People decided to avoid getting exposed before the armed groups show up.
This is a sumary of what happend last night, in a better english than my previous post.
http://caracaschronicles.com/201…
There are some post in english you guys can read bout how it going and a collection of videos and pictures.
http://caracaschronicles.com/Today we gave the protester first aid kits, and food. Some of those kids are already tired, but their hearths keep them warm and strong.
People is scared of the armed groups, but we are also scared of living in a country where your life its at risk of the delinquence.About the cuban thing, Im also a national athlete, my team got a Cuban trainer wich was very good, a nice guy and a ver profesional coach. After 4 months of trainning he didnt show up anymore, he called 1 week later telling us he left Venezuela and went to Colombia, he deserted.
Same thing with doctors, and other social personal that came from Cuba.
We have an underwater or submarine cable wich provide Cuba with high speed internet (faster than our national average speed)
We gave them a lot of oil and money. We import almost every single food we ate, and since we dont have $$ anymore to buy them we have a shortage of essencial items.
The people dont get to really see or enjoy the wealth from the oil.Rigth now Maduro is talking in national TV, same as every night, while people protest from theirs home, at risk of being shooted by the armed groups.
This saturday is going to be an important day. We going out again, same as today and the day before.
We dont want more deads, enough innocent people died already, kids are under arrest, older people are terrifyed, but still everyone wants and needs a change. As a graphic design teacher, its hard to teach how comunication works in a country where you dont have the freedom to say whatever you want. But yet we can find ways to spread the words or ideas as visual mensages and when those kids realice how powerfull and image or a visual content is their eyes opens wide in hope.
Thats why I love being a teacher.Again sorry my english and the wall of text, Im just draining some of tension from this past days.
Thanks for let me share this with you all.

Hey elpronto, you don't ever need to apologise here for draining tension about what's happening to you and your country right now!
As someone mentioned earlier, none of use here could have any idea of the hardships you must be experiencing, and it's really important for you to let everyone know the truth about what's really happening in Venezuela at the moment!
Stay strong, stay safe and for gods sake please keep checking in so that everyone knows your ok! What we can't offer you in actual physical help, we can most definitely offer in moral support!
Keep up the good work!

CNN En Español just had their press credentials revoked and were asked to leave the country.
Patricia Janiot was in Caracas last night and did a debate between opposition students and chavista students. She already left the country to Atlanta, will update later today with what happened.
2 of the 3 chavista students on the debate are close to high rank officials, one kid is almost relative to Hugo Chávez family, and one of the chavista girls people already found pictures of her enjoying the sun on a yatch.
Those are the kids of the officials in power that have been stealing from the nation all these years, they were on CNNE trying to say there's no crime in Venezuela and all the bullshit they continue to repeat.
- that second half of your post sounds just just like what happens today in Mexico.sea_sea
