We're about to get new hardware soon. So, what do you think - buy a cinema display now or will it be upgraded soon? A 4K retina cinema display would be decent..
Or will 4K iMacs launch? What will come? I heard the 2013 MacBook Pro models can't run a 4K display with acceptable framerate.. Don't want to spend a thousand for an outdated display. But I still prefer the cinema display to the plastic ones..
Advice please :)

gadgetlab says
"Apple doesn’t have its own 4K monitor, so it features the Sharp PN-K321 on its site." and they also propose the Asus PQ321Q: https://www.asus.com/Monitors_Pr…

I think the main problem will be the price, even for apple. That Sharp display has a €4.000 pricetag!
The cinema display is at $1000 and heavily overpriced and on top of that absolutely unappealing to professionals.. So what will come? A shit bigass 4K-Display priced $8.000? even Apple can't do it. I think they have to wait until they can put it on the list at consumer-premium prices.

Sorry in advance for ranting but shit is shit.
Aren't people tired of this sort of imagery since LCD screens?
The magnifier on a monitor showing that whatever you're using is pixelated and the new stuff is seen as clear.
I'm not saying 4k isn't clear.
I'm saying it's the same fucking thing over and over again,
with the irony of the same previous standards now being shown as pixelated eyesores are the exaxt same standards that years ago were showed how not pixelated but clear they were."Conventional HD" it says in that 4k image. Not clear.
Remember when HD was new? Completely clear.
