fuck you for spreading shit like this. some people might believe it was true, you know.
- mg330
There's a thread for this. But anyhow, I read this article the other day. Pretty frightening.
- ukit20
Absolutely fried? I feel pretty good. I might get absolutely fried in about an hour if you know I mean, heheh

"spreading sh*t like this" - choice words cause that's exactly what's happening' - we are destroying the planet one little step at a time, deal with it
- imagineallthepeople0
true destroying the planet, but you still don't have to worry about being significantly affected through fukushima pollution on the US west coast.
simply not big enough of radioactive spill to be harmful that far away. author is either ignorant or deliberately misleading. he doesn't bother with science, just like these creationists. of course you can find caesium in fish, you can also find carbon and oxygen in fish.

you can say what you like but i wholeheartedly disagree with people who love to point out the fine details to attempt disprove the bigger picture that right there in front of us.
fact is, we are f*cking it all up. not atom bomb in one shot style but in little tiny steps. fukushima is one of those steps.
i don't have to worry about being 'significantly affected'? here's the thing, we're talking radiation here it becomes a part of you little by little.
this exact argument was delivered when they started using the full body x-ray machines at airports. 'oh it's not significant enough radiation...' - i'm sorry, have they taken a time machine to 40 years from now when they change their tune to 'we're seeing now due to all the cancer cases that those earlier machines were a really bad idea, whoops!'
- have you take a time machine to 40 years in the future?monNom
- i have, and sh*t gets realprophetone

- Fukushima is the reason for these movies. they knew it was only a matter of time.teh

You know if there's red in a map that it's bad. Don't question it.

"you can say what you like but i wholeheartedly disagree with people who love to point out the fine details to attempt disprove the bigger picture that right there in front of us."
i somewhat see where you're coming from, but i'm not pointing out fine details. if you're worried about your health then there's a million things to worry about on the US west coast, but absolutely not fukushima. that's pointing out a big fat error.
- I agree with youmonospaced
- unless you are a rock star scientist who's been studying this 24/7 how do you know this to be fact?prophetone
- it's from a hippie commune paper in Ukiah, can't be taken seriouslymonospaced
- fine details!!?!?! hahaprophetone

I wonder who's alternative account you are,
chossy? utopian? ukit?

a) What fine details are you referring to?
b) Who loves pointing out the fine details?
c) What is wrong with having fine details?
d) Thank you in advance

Burning fossil fuels is a bigger more critical problem even if we can't see the immediate effect. When there is global political instability and mass migration due to drought and hunger, you'll wish you had some radioactive tuna to chow down on.
- And we've been burning those for hundreds of yearsmonospaced
- prophetone0
"there's a million things to worry about..." Ugggh. Yeah exactly.
"but absolutely not fukushima." This is where I step in and call bullsh*t, sorry. How does any of us know it's no big deal? No big deal is not having the problem in the first place, we have a problem, it's affecting our environment. Those are facts. The extent of which? No one can call that at this point.
- maybe bill nye can because he's the science guyprophetone
- ukit20
Society's approach to any environmental problem is to brush it under the table. Unsustainable energy policies leading to a Mad Max style wasteland for future generations? We'll deal with it later. Island of trash in the Pacific bigger than Texas? Later. Nuclear plant melting down and falling into the ocean? ... etc
