the internet has sort of mimicked the evolution of America pretty well, going from strange under-developed land of opportunity to late-capitalist nightmare in the span of 20 years instead of 200.
social media was the mall where initially kids hung out to gossip, then became overpopulated with bloated franchises and everyone realized it's only for vapid consumerism. now there's still some dorks hanging out at the food court because going home is the only thing worse than hanging around, but the air conditioning is broken and everything smells like butter and fear and half the stores have mid-level managers sweating bullets at next quarter's financial returns, posting big-ass sale signs in the window.
zuckerberg is just like the president of abercrombie and fitch, seeing the massive ascent with a few people saying "you're all morons" and eventually the rest catching on.

What does facebook feel/look like lately? I closed my account almost 10 years ago. My parents, in their 70’s, frequently share links to dumb vids from fb. They both have fb accounts, and only god knows what cringy shit they’ve gotten into. Anyways, every once in a while I click on a fb link shared by my beloved padres, and every time I do, I remember what a fucking piece of shit it was/is.
Any relevant, remarkable iteration on the mobile version during the last 10 years?
I can only imagine old people ranting and fucking up in every way possible; and probably a shit load of polls and clickbait fuckery..

For the last year I barely posted anything besides links to videos or some events.I can't stand it anymore the "me me me" show.
I was once part of it.But damn, everybody has an opinion on everything and the quantity of conspiracy theories and manipulation...fucking hell.
And having different friends posting the same links that someone posted like 10 years ago...fuck, is there anything new?
Besides my Mum I barely spoke to anyone.
Every time I added someone to my friends list I would write people but rarely received a reply.
I had once 600 friends on it and could easily have more but in the end I was trying to sort the list to 100 that really matter and replied.
Maybe it's me :-D
