A Truly sad day for the film world. I would take the warmth and creativity in one scene of one of his films over the majority of today's shiny cgi yawn fests any day of the week.

How sad!!
Proud to say that as a boy growing up in Smethwick we had a connection to Jason and the Argonauts and Ray's amazing work. Andrew Faulds (Labour MP for Smethwick from 1966-1974) played the part of Phalerus and battled against the skeletons!

Sad day. We should all make a stop-motion short in honour... I'm already seeing a stop-motion skeleton running a few or my favourite clients through with his sword.
