Font Book and Adobe CC Type Kit.
In a studio the best we encountered was Universal Type Client. Rarely any errors unless the physical connection to the server was interrupted.

Suitcase Fusion 5 is current and your best bet for Mavericks.

I have problems with chrome

When you're using fontexplorer, you can import all google fonts at once for free!

+1 for Font Explorer. Tried 'em all and easily the most preferred.
@CyBrainX I did have some issues using it with Chrome - pages would often appear in the Last Resort font. Although since the most recent updates to FontEx Pro and Chrome, it's not been happening.

Thanks for the info people.

The chrome issue comes and goes depending upon what the Chrome dev team implements.
Suitcase Fusion has more tools integrated directly into Creative Suite app panels. Let me know if you have questions about it.

^ sometimes yes, but chrome is known to have font/cache issues and I generally avoid it now and continue to use FontExplorer

Does anyone have issues with fonts in Chrome while using Font Explorer? I've read how using any third party font manager messes up fonts in Chrome.

Font Explorer all the way. Works great.

I like font explorer—have been using it since its release for work, suitcase prior to that.

I wish Fontcase was a little more robust:

Instead, I'm cornered into using FontExplorer X Pro:

After years of issues with Suitcase Fusion 4, which I will not reference images nor links due to the countless time spent repairing "database errors" over the past months/years...

I use Suitcase at home, Font Explorer at work. Prefer Suitcase

^ agreed - font explorer is probably best I've used...

Thanks MSL.

I use FontExplorer.
It takes a while to get used to it's organisation and there are lots of settings you can tweak. It's also good at weeding out all non-system fonts, so ideally you end up with your basic system fonts, and then another folder which FontExplorer has full control over.
