More Star Wars. Great. Now we get to listen to more fucking boring nerds whining about how "awful the new Star Wars movies are" for another decade.
If you guys weren't such fucking slaves to the hype machine, you could immediately accept that the Disney Wars won't be good and they'll leave you feeling disappointed. Skip them entirely and move on with your lives.
- Sorry for the rant. Carry on. Just keep it on the web, nerds.nb
- That's rich coming from a guy who obviously couldn't wait to jump into a star wars thread. You're either a troll or a nerdmarychain
- Couldn't wait? This thread is four months old.nb
- if star wars nerds concern you, then your life is without any concern at all.inteliboy
- It's just a bit sad to see so many people wrapped up in something they're almost guaranteed to hate.nb
- i think we're a little early in the game at this point, could be super goodprophetone

25:05 into the interview, 50 Cent reveals that his company will be making all the audio parts for any future Star Wars merch. Thats a pretty big/smart biz move so land that Disney contract.
G-Unit Jedi?

The prequels killed SW for me. I don't think I'll see the new movies unless it's a very dull Sunday and they're on Netflix and I've already caught up on everything else.

- I don't have a Bluray player, so...i_monk
- I agree, but I hope it's not the case. Did you enjoy the Star Trek reboots? Hopefully this is this generation's star wars lol_niko

It doesnt seem like too many ppl think it will be terrible. Abrams is a far better director than Lucas ever was. The guy gets the importance of good dialogue and story. Lucas is a CGI effects nerd, not a great story teller so its just a lock to be better than those prequels, my only concern with him is he just rebooted Star Trek. Was a little concerned this is going to be very similar to those with light sabers, unless he is actively trying to make sure its very different.
- you keep saying the same thing over and over againmonospaced
- and btw, star wars basically is star trek with light sabres and a bigger budget, always has beenmonospaced
- mono, just stfu for a daypinkfloyd

- mono you can be such a bellend - star wars has never been remotely like star trek - idiot!fadein11
- I guess we can disagree.monospaced
- but no need to insult memonospaced
- Abrams is a self confessed star wars nerd...he also confessed he was never into trek. He is makingmarychain
- A conscious effort to recapture the feeling of the originals. I think he understands the pressure. I am sure these won't look anything like trek..marychain
- Look anything like trek and be VASTLY superior to the prequels.marychain

i_monk. A client of mine gave us his blue ray box set of Star Wars last month. It has the numbers of each printed on the box. My 4 year old son saw (1) and obviously wanted to start from there. 1-3 really don't exist in my world but whatever.
We sit down on the couch and start watching #1 and I shit you not, 30 minutes in my son turns to me and says "Dad,... this is horrible. Do we have to watch it?" A 4 year old knows the movie is shit.
So I drop in #4 and in 5 minutes he's hooked. We threw away 1-3.

niko – I really didn't like Abrams' Trek reboots, no.
- fair enough, the originals were so good that the reboot wasn't really necessary._niko
- as far as star wars go, we're sort of hoping they redeem themselves and right the ship after the ep 123 travesty_niko
- but no one is really pulling for disney's money making machine, the original came from nowhere, it was a labour of love._niko
- ..love, this is nothing but a cash grab._niko

He added a bit of Star Wars to make the new Star Trek's more accessible. More action, less cerebral. Now, if he can add a little Star Trek to Star Wars, it could be great. A little less action, a little more cerebral. Of course, I mean comparing the more recent 3.
- Trek never shied away from action. The most recent pre-reboot movies were pretty much just action.i_monk
- Really? Have you seen the ST: The Motion Picture. Have you seen the first 2-3 seasons of TNG?ETM
- ST only got a little more action once Braga and Berman took over.ETM
- Also it goes without saying the reboot's were mostly action, in fact that was one of the points of my entire post.ETM
- Star Trek's best medium is television where they can make a cerebral episode. The movies are for a more general audience.CyBrainX
- audience. I love the JJ reboot movies though.CyBrainX
