    I'm looking to upgrade my old 23" apple cinema display (the aluminium one) - anyone got any recommendations for around the 27" variety? help appreciated as always

    Look at picking up a dell Ultra sharp or a benq 241W second hand. Monitors have pretty much stalled since TV panels became so cheap due to mass production. So you can look about 2-4 years and find better monitors than there are available now.

    • The benq is called BenQ FP241W. I'm just trying to find if it had a bigger brother around 27inches.

    i heard the new dells are very nice. whatever you do tho, do not get an imac monitor as i hear they smell the b.o.

    I guess if you get a 27", get one with a higher resolution than 1080. I have this 27" here and the pixel density is simply not high enough. My 27" iMac's resolution is 2560 x 1440, which is much nicer.

    I have both a 23" and a 30" ACD at home, seem to focus better on one task on the 23" one.
