  Its a logo that will float in an attempt to keep them from sinking further given their decreasing advertising and sponsorship revenue.

  But yes, all their websites are really poor. Dedicated sports sites are the worst as they don't even mention when their programs will be broadcast.

  The letters are too short. Ugly looking. Quite nice in application (some of the time) but only in the standard conventional way that represents the base-level of TV ident graphics... so no points there either.

  I didn't realise just how little the rest of the world knows about ITV. You'd think the yanks would be more aware of it, when I've been over there and seen what is on their channels most of the time it seems they love the kind of mediocre lowest common denominator shite that ITV pedals.

  I'm not sure how many of their programs get sold around the globe, but I believe Downton Abbey did quite well on the international market. It also sums up the network for me - a historically inaccurate costume drama with paper thin writing and characterisation but nice to look at and easy on the brain.
