    Does anyone know if the breakpoints on Bootstrap are different for the iPad as opposed to desktop browsers? Does Bootstrap always show a collapsed nav on iPad?

    Portrait or landscape? Landscape it shouldn't, portrait it may.

    In here:
    // Landscape phone to portrait tablet
    @media (max-width: 768px) { ... }

    Comment out:
    <a class="btn btn-navbar" data-toggle="collapse" data->

    How are you using bootstrap? with a framework or without and by itself?

    Not sure...I don't have an iPad in front of me, and a client complained about this. Was just trying to confirm what the behavior is (and then figure out how to change it).

    So the media queries for iPad are the same as desktop then?

    Well for screen sizes. You'll get similar results on other tablets etc.

    You can refine the queries using min and max sizes, not just max.
