TL:DR
Google’s political bias has equated the freedom from offense with psychological safety, but shaming into silence is the antithesis of psychological safety.
This silencing has created an ideological echo chamber where some ideas are too sacred to be honestly discussed.
The lack of discussion fosters the most extreme and authoritarian elements of this ideology.
Extreme: all disparities in representation are due to oppression
Authoritarian: we should discriminate to correct for this oppressionDifferences in distributions of traits between men and women may in part explain why we don’t have 50% representation of women in tech and leadership. Discrimination to reach equal representation is unfair, divisive, and bad for business.

Due to client requests we don't have internet access. We have to log on through a virtual machine. We have a private chat group network locally.
Not connected, our machines do not have internet access, usb connectivity etc (data is critically sensitive), yet a few times we chat in these private groups and I get advert messages in my youtube searches. Freaky shit.
Trying to work out how it would be possible.

I have Netflix. I sometimes check Netflix's YouTube channel for trailers, etc. I am not subscribed to Netflix's YouTube channel. My settings are not set to send notifications for channels anyway. But I keep getting notifications in YouTube telling me when Netflix has uploaded new videos.
That and the new "only you can see these results (because we assumed you won't mind if we search your inbox too)" change is really creepy shit, Google. GTFO.

On Monday, Google Maps has received a makeover with 700 trillion pixels of new data added to the service.
"The new map, which activates this week for all users of Google Maps and Google Earth, consists of orbital imagery that is newer, more detailed, and of higher contrast than the previous version. Most importantly, this new map contains fewer clouds than before -- only the second time Google has unveiled a "cloudless" map. Google had not updated its low- and medium- resolution satellite map in three years..."
