people can operate on whatever operating system they choose. sure, you might just be scotch-taping bits of your reality with implausible fairy tales, but whatever, as long as you function. no sense in trying to outlaw shitty operating systems just because they're shitty.
i mean, windows is still around.
OH SNAP

^ Stop trying to "Snatch" the thread.
Do you feel threatened that Christmas is a Christian Celebration? It is a National Holiday... So we should actually take that holiday and Easter of the National Calendar because its a religious celebration. Correct?
I think all that feel threatened by the cross are threatened only because of your insecurity of your beliefs and knowledge... it's understandable...
Merry Christmas to all of you.

mono, i think you are confusing atheist with agnostic.
An agnostic chooses not to believe in any religion, because they acknowledge that nothing can be truly known aside that which can be discerned from the material world. An agnostic's belief, in essence, is "i don't know".
Atheists, in order to assert, unequivocally, that there are NO gods, have to BELIEVE that, because they cannot prove the absence of a supernatural force that steers humanity.- I'm not confused. But thanks! :Dmonospaced
- An agnostic can also see some wisdom in all belief systems.ETM
- An atheist starts from a logical point that the world is what it is, humans created the concept of god so it's up to the believers to prove it.BaskerviIle
- prove their point. Atheism is actually poorly named, it's odd to define yourself by what you don't believe in.BaskerviIle
- by the same token I'm 'a' a lot of things. Like I'm adruggist etc. Better not to reference all the things you don't do and define yourself by the things you do doBaskerviIle
- yourself by the things you do doBaskerviIle

I find it funny that the same people who are or defend atheist make fun and put down religion, christianity say things like "its an invisible man in the sky", "there is no proof" "atheism is not a religion".
Well guys guess what. It is religion because like christianity or other beliefs you make fun of, Your just as faith based on God not existing as any fucker who believes in God. cause technically you have no proof either. Probably you follow the ten commandments anyway. unless your a thief or murder? oh its universal human right? blah blah yeah that came from religion...lol
Almost everything has a religious backbone even some the genius modern science, is based on ancient religious concepts.
It a religion born out of politics. No god and the state is supreme. Yeah same communism that killed more people on this planet then any other system of government. bravo atheism, more hypocritical then christianity. bravo.
- here here.whhipp
- the only difference is we don't believe the unbelievable stuff required to be "religious"monospaced
- hahahahahha not murdering people comes from religion! hahahahahahahhazarkonite
- apparently so does not believing in religion hahahahayurimon
- This is so flawed. Atheism isn't a religoin. It's the lack of one. The onus of providing proof is on the believer not the non-believerBaskerviIle

its still a belief on faith nice play on words.yurimon

I look at it the other way around. Religion is like a poor man's science. People in the past just like today wanted to control nature and explain why things happen. But they had no idea so they made up gods and other make believe shit.

The Republitards have a new platform to get behind, just in time for the 2016 presidential election.

Ya, Religion has killed people, and Christians most of all should lament that fact. But the atheists got 'em beat by the hundreds of millions. They have no moral code except that which they place on themselves. In the west they are restrained because of a moral order the they've borrowed from religion. Once they can't stand on the moral order they inherited, they will start killing by the hundreds of millions again. The cynicism, vitriol, and hate they already espouse for certain groups is a foreshadowing of that.

why don't atheists get their own holiday?
- i_monk0
Atheists can be agnostic or gnostic (for lack of a better term).
Agnostics can be atheists or theists.
Both can be religious – not all religions have gods.
Neither is a religion.
Neither has anything to do with "belief in science" or whatever dogma-analogue you want to insert.
- ukit20
The argument about who has "killed more people" is silly. Atheism doesn't really lead to any kind of morals or behavior, it's just an observation about reality.
Lenin was an atheist, but so was Ayn Rand. Total opposites in terms of ideology and worldview.
- Ayn Rand is Rothchilds Whore. Her work, you have to read between the lines and understand those bastards symbology.yurimon
- really mean in the symbology.
But Atheism in it purest for the biggest mind fuck out the communist idealogueyurimon - and yes it does matter how many people die or enslaved because these concepts are not dead and some aholes try to push these idealsyurimon
- push these ideals into the public to generate useful idiots for the sake of their agendas.yurimon
- same goes for followers of anything. have to be careful and understand things in their historical and political context.yurimon
- No one has caused mass genoices in the name atheism, many have done so in the name of religion. Sure Stalin was an atheist, but that was not his platform for genocide...bobkat
