  There's a free plugin for Firefox that lets you download the files in several formats. It puts a big button under the video. Extremely handy to save things.

  (not sure about the "upload someone else's video" part though

  yeah, but youtube have changed shit up recently.. its all streamed in 1.7mb chunks.. a lot of these plugins dont work anymore..

  not all.. but the older ones dont..
