Is awful! I get this error every time I load a page telling me my flash player is out of date. So I go and update it, and of course I keep getting the error and its irritating as hell because it shifts the fucking page every time I go to a new page.
Firefox runs like a turd on my mac, freezing constantly, incredibly slow. Is it possible to access the internet on a mac as well as you can on a PC?

Chrome is getting worse on the mac, FF is good for me, perhaps time to give Safari a try?

Weird, it works perfectly on the Macs we use.

@mono, yes Im aware of that "fix", but it doesnt work. I tried it, problem continued. I also tried other fixes I found on the web, none worked.
- You have so many Mac problems that seem to be out of the norm. What goes on there?monospaced
- This macbook fucking sucks. Thats the problem.CygnusZero4
- Not trying to be a fanboy here, but I love the fact that everything Apple gives me is seamlessmonospaced
- I feel bad that you have that experience.monospaced
- I appreciate that, I just want this piece of shit to work properly.CygnusZero4
- Im not asking for much here. Can I get a fucking browser that works? Apparently not.CygnusZero4
- Yes, you can. I believe you can with a little help and a little work cleaning up your machine.monospaced

Am I blind? Where is the download button here? I had to uninstall Safari a while back since it was crashing often.
- dude, seriously, you uninstalled it? that's so unnecessarymonospaced
- Believe me, I had to, it wouldnt run at all anymore.CygnusZero4
- What the fuck did you do to your Mac, dude? Either take it in, or fix it up, but that's not right.monospaced
- I dont want to spend any money on this thing. I want a Dell XPS. Saving up for one.CygnusZero4
- Don't spend money on it. Go to Apple and they'll fix it up for free.monospaced
- The latest version of Safari is available in Mountain Lion. The latest version of Safari for Lion is available through Software Update.i_was

@Cygnus
I have no idea what kind of stuff you've got going on on your MacBook, but have you tried just creating a new user and trying to reproduce the problems? If you do this and find everything's magically working, you might consider taking a closer look at what you've done to your current user.- https://selfsolve.ap…monospaced
- The machine is 5 years old.CygnusZero4

@Cygnus I think you buy apps in the App Store, btw

- I'm trying to help youmonospaced
- I have to buy Safari again?CygnusZero4
- just install it from your install discsmonospaced
- or download it, from the APP STORE!monospaced
- CygnusZero40
Ok, is there any other browsers that are free that arent named Firefox, Chrome or Safari? There has to be something else.
- CygnusZero40
"just install it from your install discs"
My disc drive doesnt work. I mentioned that before.
- It doesnt do that suck-y thing its supposed to do.CygnusZero4

Just got to the App Store and download Safari, or the entire OS X, and if you can't figure that out, call Apple. You can have a working machine again, trust me.
- If I reinstall OSX, will I lose my files on here?CygnusZero4
- not if you back them up, sighmonospaced
- CygnusZero40
I just went into the app store and searched for safari. All I get are iphone and ipad apps. Im on a macbook.
- *sigh, software update sectionmonospaced
- You should be getting any iOS apps in the Mac App Store, dude. You're doing it wrong.monospaced
- some future advice: don't delete built-in OS software, even if it stops workingmonospaced

Chrome comes with its own Flash Player built in, so if you download the latest Chrome if should come with that, unless you disabled it on Chrome of course, then it will use the system-wide Flash Player you have installed.
- "Google Chrome is up to date."CygnusZero4
- Which version?ernexbcn
- Version 21.0.1180.90CygnusZero4

Chrome does get worse performance-wise on each release on my Mac, it's from 2007 so it's understandable. On older Macs the best browser is Safari, I'm on Mountain Lion and the scrolling performance compared to Chrome is gigantic, you notice it right away.
The latest Firefox versions are also good. I'd say Google engineers must have fancy computers.
- Yeah Im trying to figure out how to get safari.CygnusZero4
- CygnusZero40
@mono, I go into itunes, I click on the store, I go to the app store, search safari, FYI it literally says in there iphone and ipad apps, that it. There is no safari for me to download.
- You said go to the app store, its not there though.CygnusZero4
- I didn't say iTunes, dude!!! I said the APP STORE! Not the iTunes Store. Go to Applications: App Store. FFS!!!!!!monospaced
- FFS!!!!! Are you being obtuse on purpose!??monospaced
- ernexbcn0
@CygnusZero4 paste this into the Chrome address bar:
chrome://plugins/
Is Flash there?
- CygnusZero40
"This computer will no longer receive updates of Google Chrome because it's running Mac OS X 10.5."
So what now? My macbook tells me the OS is up to date, so I guess im just left out in the cold with Chrome. Thats fun.
- upgrade the OS dumbass (sorry, but your'e acting like a child now)monospaced
- CygnusZero40
