A tranny steals a laptop with a touchscreen. This happens everyday in San Francisco.
- Interesting perspective! :)monkeyshine
- Except it's never a PC...ETM

seriously though, the design looks pretty sophisticated...who knew Lenovo had it in them. They've historically made some of the ugliest laptops out there.

The commercial is good, but too much fluff in this commercial. All they had to say, was that it was a touchscreen laptop. Instead, they try and play me by putting a young girl, trying to escape the clutches of evil to get a laptop that everyone else is going to buy from Best Buy?
- its a laptop for suckers!omg
- ...and your point? :)monkeyshine
- prefabricated hype equals to poor product. bait and switch.omg
- Llyod0
in all fairness it looks like crap
- moldero0
ill take one of her
- akrok0
the name is retarded..."Yoga".
- they lost me there.akrok
- it's 'flexible' use in 4 different positions.Amicus
- If that's the reasoning they should have called it Tantric.monkeyshine

if they only had a IdeaPad then they could come up with sooooo many good names. lol.

The ad was ridiculous,
I was expecting her to eat some donkey balls after winning the container jump contest Xfactor style

So the PC industry is responding to the iPad by turning tablets into laptops?
- failed for 10 years, but it will work "this" timeGeorgesII
- monkeyshine0
animatedgif, desktops are dying and even conventional laptops are becoming stale. I was doing some focus groups last week and everyone was complaining about having to carry a laptop to meetings! They all want high performing slates/tablets. The PC industry is responding to consumer demand. In all fairness, the iPad did open up this demand.
- True, but if you're attaching a thin keyboard to a tablet you've just turned it into a thin laptop with a clunky UIanimatedgif
- MacBook Air created the 'ultrabook" category singlehandedlymonospaced

don't worry monkey,
everyone in here will hate it untill apple does, than it will be the best thing since sliced bread,
no joke

Microsoft's new Surface note-tablet-thing is more impressive.

iPad killer #1
- lol
more like #593GeorgesII - No way, this is way more innovative, and is superior in every way to a crappy iPad. Apple's probably shitting themselvesmonospaced
- themselves because they won't release their new tablet for another couple weeksmonospaced
- lol

Well, I don't think the WIn8 UI is clunky but I'm an official kool-aid drinker so maybe not objective. Surface looks great and I can't wait to get mine but I can't see it being a day-to-day work machine. I can see it being that for many in my focus group. The ideaPad seems like a better alternative for me.
- Dude, the Surface has Office, bro. It's the ultimate work machine! Apple can SUCK IT.monospaced
- It does and that's what makes it great for my focus group peeps but not for design. And I'm not a bro. ;)monkeyshine
- design?monospaced
- I mean I can't imagine running Photoshop/Illy on it.monkeyshine
- but, it has OFFICE!monospaced

^ If shoving a menu over the top of the traditional windows desktop isn't clunky then I don't know what is.
Even explaining the differences between Windows RT and Windows 8 to geeks is confusing, let alone explaining it to consumers.
