Myspace looks nice yes, but it's done.
People are looking FORWARD to something else, google plus was promising but didn't work. Myspace put a great effort on design, but they should've changed the name. I see it really hard for anyone to go back to a site that became the target of 'outdated technology jokes' all over.I can see instagram taking over facebook, but since they are now the same thing, not sure what that means.
- yeah but myspace still has a name...relaunching it is gonna get them more press i thinksublocked

Yup. People are fickle. Look at the negativity towards Apple these days. Don't feed people new shiny shit, they get bored and move on. Myspace is old, no matter what they do - only way out is some kind of genius marketing campaign.

This is like running into your crazy hag of an ex girlfriend who spent a a few years working out and had a lot of work ton. But deep down inside? Still your ex girlfriend. Still crazy.

They would have been better off renaming it and being the new kid. Everyone thinks they are cool when they find out about that "new thing" or trend and wants to share. It looks to have promise and the name is an anchor.
- nah because it would STILL BE FROM MYSPACE. people would still associate the two.sublocked
- not if they marketed it without any reference to myspace. a few would know, but the unwashed masses wouldn't.Amicus
- i think more people will check it out simply because it's "the new myspace" rather than "some other social network"sublocked
- plus everything is known now. there's not the "few", there's the "internet". word would get around.sublocked
- How we use the internet and the circle of info we encompass is vastly different from 'regular' people.ETM

I think this lacks what Myspace was all about: let the user create HIS space, the only thing I saw they let you customize is the background photo with the annoying layered interface... this attempt feels so coward and insipid to me... so this is yet another facebook without the facebook and a new myspace without the myspace... don't buy.

It looks really good on video, but I found it very confusing, I had no idea what he was doing 90% of the time.

Why they still using the old logo ?

nice.. looks good enough to make a come back

I think it looks really nice, much better than their last attempt at re-invention. Its clearly here now to try and wrest back some of the disinterested Facebook fall off, but I doubt they'll see a reversal of fortune. People are growing naturally tired of social networking. They don't want another one, or a return to one that they abandoned, they want less, and more real life relevance.

It doesn't matter (that much) what it looks like. It's what it does, how relevant it is and how it plugs in to your life.
- My point exactly.Horp
- the video shows its relevance pretty well, in my opinionmonospaced
