A friend of mine lives in Austin. Lance's hometown. For years she's been going to the Lance Armstrong 24/7 Fitness Center.
Well, now it's just the 24/7 Fitness Center. Saturday they got new signs. Even in Austin they're ashamed of the guy.

Still no actual evidence though, huh?
- 11 teammates and countless others testified against him.boobs

I kind of hope that he decides to confess all and bring the whole mess down around him. Seems very convenient to have one man as scape goat for a very sorry sickening sport.
I'm pretty sure he must have dirt on everyone. It looks like he bunged money around the place to the authorities and the rest of it. Cycling and cyclists made a hell of a lot of money because of Lance Armstrong, and I do hope he has the ball (s) to tell all.
- Have you completely missed the growing line of other cyclists admitting to doping over the past few weeks?Nathan_Adams
- I dont mean cyclists but authorities

If they (USADA) pays me 1 million dollars I swear I saw Lance doing THC vapors, shooting smack, biting necks for fresh blood and drinking piss with steroids...

- Hot piss from old ladies. Hot, cloudy piss with kidney protein and hookworms in.mikotondria3

They referring to blood doping? taking your own blood an re injecting it into you body? How much of a performance increase do you get from doping anyway?

The sport overall is going to loose a lot of steam. Lance sold a lot of bikes for the industry when he was winning. Now with all this, no one can be trusted in this sport. I am pretty sure that next years races will be the slowest races ever raced. Either that or every racer is going to get busted.

meh, i don't give a shit. lance is still my hero.
his foundation has raised $500million+ for cancer support - which both of my parents used when they had cancer. dad had prostate cancer, mom had breast cancer twice. they are unique in the fact that they directly support the people diagnosed and not so much the giant pharma research labs - my mom's best friend was diagnosed with a super-rare spinal cord cancer, and it was LiveStrong that knew where the best doctor in the USA was - and they set up all communication and helped her figure out the insurance bullshit etc. and - they give you a number to call 24/7 and there is someone there to listen and support you when you're going through this shit.
so yeah, fuck USADA. i rode this weekend in the LiveStrong Challenge, my company fundraises for the foundation, and we're going to double our contribution for next year.

Of course he was juicing - you try playing a trumpet for hours on end.
Everybody needs to leave Louis Armstrong alone!!

nadanada,
That's exactly why I can't believe some people are wanting money back from donations made to LiveStrong. Though fully associated with Armstrong, the money went to the organization to do the things you described - not fill Armstrong's pockets with cash.
Nobody was duped out of the effect of the effect their donations had on the work the charity has done.

Other big cyclists were caught on doping and never lost any title...
And all of them were tested positive.
So, you either use the same punishment for all or gtfo...

they should just allow it and regulate it. i thought we learned that lesson from prohibition.

just put an asterisk by his wins and move on.

LANCE ARMSTRONG WEIGHS DOPING ADMISSION

It'll be really tough for him to confess just from the legal point of view - he's already being sued by a newspaper over here in the UK that he sued for libel a few years ago - that could cost him a million, plus it could open him up to criminal charges for various crimes.

Considering the sport and the reputation that most, if not all, dope, this all seems ridiculous to me. Get all the other competitors to confess and I'll care, otherwise this is all just a witch hunt/publicity stunt.
If we are going to really care, then every sport should be scrutinized, every team that one anything with a major player taking anything should have their medal/trophy/title stripped.

I think allot of the hate comes from the accusations that he bribed people to let him win so he could scoop the big money prizes for a series of wins. On top of this he was also doping. If it is all true then he doesn't deserve any kind of respect.
- Bribery is a different thing, I have not heard that before your postformed
