What is the best place in your opinion?
I'm looking at either the Royal College of Arts or Parsons in New York. Any thoughts? Other ones?

BTW- the reason I am considering doing an MA is because I feel I burned out doing to much web/ commercial work... I already worked several years at AD level.
Would love to do more installation work, moving image, thoughtful interface stuff or even art... somehow you'd think I could do that on my weekends, but somehow it doesn't happen.
Taken a year out and pushing myself creatively without having to worry about budgets could be amazing.

I'd say Yale or RISD.

Art Center is shitty for design, if you're going to California go to CalArts instead. Especially if you wanna get artsy, do weirder and/or more conceptual shit. The best place for odd stuff with an en extremem amount of thinking involved would probably be Cranbrook though. Go to Yale if you want lots of modernist influences. Werkplaats Typografie would be sick though too, faculty there are pretty out of control.

Re: The Royal College of Art...
It all depends on this year's show imo, definitely worth a look but it's an important show for the CA&D course.
It's the first full year Brody has been in charge, Teal Triggs to also join shortly as Associate Dean.
The CA&D course was getting too artsy, esoteric and irrelevant over recent years, so it'll be interesting to see what impact Brody's had on his first full year.
Decent & recent alumni of the course:

to get more from a degree than new commercial work opportunities, i'd suggest....
for Media Master degrees in the states, maybe NYU-ITP or MIT-MediaLab or UCLA-DMA as programs to look into. For Graphic Design, Yale, Cranbrook, CalArts, RISD.
All the ArtCenter, SVA, Parsons, Pratt, Otis schools will focus more on marketability after graduation. Not that that's a bad thing.
