    So, this happened today.

    http://www.theverge.com/2012/6/1…

I'm just glad they are keeping it at an affordable price. I was worried we were finally going to hit that $500 mark.

I think its silly whats going on with these systems now. All this shit crammed into it, and the only thing I care about is what kind of games it will have that are worth my time. How many fucking devices do I need that has netflix and all this other shit on it? Hell, I just bought a TV with all this crap built into it already.

On top of it they're pushing 3D and Kinect, 2 things I couldnt care less about. Dont know, maybe the Wii U is more for me at this point. Need to see what kind of games it has within the first year.

    • Agree with this (no ideas out wii though)set1/3

The whining in the comments section is laughable. Fuck, sometimes I hate people on the internet.

One commenter there does make an interesting point - that the current UI direction of MSFT is from a failed product (the Zune).

I for one enjoy the new Xbox dash and am anxious to get my hands on Win8 to check Metro out fully.

    • Could be said that the entire direction of Windows is now based on a failed productukit21/3
      yeh ukit, it could be.
I personally liked the zune and think the metro UI is pretty decent.

It kind of bums me out how MSFT has a lot of good people working there in design/UI but it looks as if their work gets crushed under the weight of bureaucratic managers.

I sometimes wonder what would of happened if the gov had broken the company up when they were going through all those antitrust lawsuits back in the day. Would it have been better for consumers and computing in general?

I like they are keeping the current CPU also on the new one for backward compatibility. They learnt the lesson of the first Xbox when they licensed the CPU and GPU, on the Xbox 360 they have full IP control of both.
