Anyone interested in going to Mars... for the rest of their lives?

How do they even know how to land people on Mars? What, the same way they land rover, by putting them inside a giant bouncing superball? That should work out well.
Seems like there is a monumental amount of testing and experimenting that would need to be done. I doubt it will happen.

What happens when someone gets sick and needs surgery? Just kick him out the door to die I guess, total recall style.

Humans colonized lands and continents and I am sure many people said the same things. People will get sick, people will die. It will be dangerous. It will further mankind, should they do it. Brave people will risk their lives for adventure or progress, cowards will criticize.

Funny that "money" – something we created ourselves – could be a barrier for humans to go to Mars.

The Apollo program costed somewhere roughly around 25 billion.
They plan to do this without government money. Think about all the designing that needs to be done, then all the test launches, fixing shit that didnt work, test it again, then all the launches to get shit there, then slow ass robots have to build this stuff? Do we even have robots that can do that?
It's such a monumental undertaking, far beyond landing on the moon, in about 10 years. This would be extremely difficult even if the US were to try and do this. Then you get into all the shit about people getting sick and everything else for the people living there.

Mars ain't the kind of place to raise a kid; In fact, it's cold as hell. I'm a rocket man!

Launching private rockets I think is a little different than building a habitat on Mars.
