Nice. Didn't know they updated. I'm still using the previous version (Coda 1, I suppose) and love it.

Just got it (50% off at that, today only!)
Nice, albeit slightly less simple than Coda 1.
Attempting to sync sites between Coda 2 & Diet Coda (iPad) but have yet to figure it out...
...Will continue to fill you in alicetheblue!
; )
- Just hooked up the "AirPreview" option to allow all site previews to be shown on iPad to unclutter desktop! Cool stuff...ideaist

- I think Diet Coda looks quite nice at first glancealicetheblue
- Oh - might just have to have!alicetheblue
- It's an adjustment, both mobile & desktop from Coda 1, but seems worth it and i've had it for like 30 minutes...ideaist

I tried to make a nicer coding theme:

diet coda is the refreshing cool

My only complaint thus far is syncing between Coda 2 & Diet Coda is already been addressed by Panic:
"Is there any way to sync my Sites with Coda on OS X?
We're still looking into syncing; our hope is that iCloud makes this seamless for all users. Stay tuned."Once they have that worked out I'm 100% in support of "diet coda: the refreshing cool" (care of prophetone)...

Diet Coda is gorgeous. + Fuckin good FTP + Shell Terminal = why did it took so long to be released since I recently bought FTP on the Go PRO and Textastic and I won't touch them anymore. At least I didn't had bought Prompt.. well I guess FTP on the Go is still useful on the iphone now

While at it, Forklift is on a crazy $1 sale (normally $30).
http://itunes.apple.com/app/fork…I could do without Coda but without Forklift my Mac workflow would suffer terribly. It's a dual-pane file manager but also a FTP client, app uninstaller, file packer, unpacker and a few other things in one.
- Why on earth would an FTP client need to uninstall apps?animatedgif
- It's a file manager. It treats FTP connections as mounted drivesraf
- when you delete an .app ifle, it asks if you want to clean up after it by removing associated pref files. Handy.raf

Is there a way that I can configure keyboard short-cuts for moving cursor with Home/End just like on windows? Can't find it in preferences.

I've known about it for years but never tried it because I don't work on a Mac platform. The new version looks really, really good and everyone seems to be raving about it.
I'm becoming fed up about my code editing applications available for PC and I'm thinking about switching to Mac just for this application. Is that crazy? Is it worth it?
- Sublime Text is rather nice for PC.orrinward2
- Go for it.ArmandoEstrada
- Fortune favours the bold nocomply...ideaist
- I believe Sublime Text lacks the code-completion that I've become so dependent on. Maybe I should be bold?nocomply
- Maybe, I wouldn't know. I write in languages that don't need *completion*... HAML, SASS and Coffeescript.orrinward2

Coda 2 is a step forward, but I just cannot get the Diet Coda App/Coda 2 Air Preview working for love nor money.
- ESKEMA0
^^ its a bit tricky, I managed to get it working by closing Diet Coda, clicking on AirPreview, then open Diet Coda, then click AirPreview, then click outside, then click Airpreview again. I'm sure they will fix this :P
- lolz @ technique... I was mildly confused by the "hold the ipad camera up to the monitor" deal-e...ideaist

eskema, i'm about to purchase this but the live CSS thing is big for me as I am a bit of a dunce. does the "live updating" feature not act similar to Espresso?
- only with local files, I couldn't manage to have it work while editing online filesESKEMA
- tx, gotchaprophetone

^I'm completely in love with Espresso.
- Me too. I only bought Coda because of the 50% sale. I will still be using Espresso because I work a lot with CSS...ESKEMA
- Me too, but ill give Coda2 a run and see....ArmandoEstrada
- Espresso looks pretty awesome. Thanks for the tip.nocomply
- + X-Ray in Espresso is imperative. I still miss some CSSEdit features like milestones and Re-Indent.ESKEMA

Espresso + Codekit = a fantastic workflow for mesilentpost

So, let me get this straight: there's NO live previewing of CSS?
- alicetheblue0
^
Seems like you need an iPad for live preview:AND INTRODUCING: AIRPREVIEW
It's magic. Get our brand-new app, Diet Coda, exclusively for your iPad. Pair it with Coda 2 on your desktop. Then, watch your mind blow.
Your iPad now becomes a live preview window as you work on your web pages on your Mac.- nah, that's the same preview as the desktop, except not on your monitor..ESKEMA
- are you sure?alicetheblue
- yesESKEMA
- make a second window to the right and preview the html file you're working on. Now on the left when you make changes to the CSS, it updates the look on the right side with the HTML.alicetheblue
- make changes to the CSS, it updates the look on the right side with the HTML.alicetheblue
- animatedgif0
^ That's a live preview for designing iPad targeted web pages.
- ESKEMA0
Ok, after more playing, remote live preview also works after all. but the live preview on the ipad doesn't do "live" as the desktop counterpart does, I had to hit refresh for it to update...
- ESKEMA0
^^ When I tried it before, I had a CSS file opened and the preview of that file (goes to the CSS source obvsiously) but by changing the URL to what I wanted to preview it didn't reflected the changes live. Now with both CSS and the HTML file opened, I previewed the HTML and making changes to the CSS reflect live, but only on the HTML Preview window.
Don't know if I made myself understood with that confusing fuck above...
Carry on.- so what you're saying is just stick to using Claris Home Page 1.0?!prophetone
- j/kprophetone
- haha. on the contrary, it's getting better the more I use it...ESKEMA
- @ESKEMA; I concur...ideaist
