  Sorry to hear mate, had the same on the previous flat. They took a couple of laptops and some random stuff but thankfully they skipped the photo equipment. The insurance paid back and got a new macbook but lost plenty data.

  I am not saying that is the right thing, but I heard of 'a friend' who fabricated a couple of extra receipts and ended up better off.

  next time put a mac laptop shell by your pc computer. seriously it works. i had my house broken in once. I own a dell (lol fat computer) and mac laptop. they didn't even touch the pc.

  same happend to me a month ago, they took my MBP and the one of my flatmate, a piggybank and my rucksack to carry it all away... gladly the MBP was old and kind of broken, I was at the office with my new one at that time... insurance paid full for the old piece of shit, so I got out quiet lucky!

  Just happened to me, last week they crowbarred open the back door. Computer was in room they broke into luckily only took PS3 and watches, etc. sorry to hear you lost your work that would be nasty. My dog was locked in the room they broke into. I still am paranoid a week later to leave my house unattended. Sick feeling.

  I couldn't find the "client of the day" thread so this was second best.

  A new but client that's going great things says this in an email this morning on an email blast that he needs to design:

  "Oh, and has to be super cheap. This isn't even a fundraiser; we are just intro our org to a new people...."
