    Left - Printed PDF
Right - Outlined vector file in illustrator

If you notice the nutrition food table, when printed, doesn't print correctly. Line become dashed lines, missing letter occur, etc...

    Why is this happening? Thanks!

I've heard of this because of letters that only use 4 nodes to create the box, add nodes to your 4 node boxes or save to a different version of .ai or .eps

If I saved it as an AI - but renamed it to .PDF - would that be the cause?

i know there are issues with lower case l's sometimes with .pdfs, but i thought it was just a screen/preview issue. i wouldn't think it would affect printing, and especially the dashed strokes. but it being all lower case l's and hoizontal/vertical lines seems to be something.....

I've had this happen with two files recently and I cant figure out what happened. One is my office invoice template. It happened when I saved the file up to latest Adobe Version. It printed fine before in Cs3.0, in Cs5.5 the rules wont print. and some default to other line styles.

I don't have any ideas to help with the printing, but check your spelling – protein and cholesterol

Also double check the PDF settings, are they modified or are they default settings?
Sometimes we click or uncheck some boxes that will totally ruin your export.

Can't say much haven't had problems with outlined text, good luck.
