About to pitch for a large multinational firm in need of a new website, and one of their primary concerns is navigation.
any know of any resources or pools of info regarding designing site structure or navigation for companies that have multiple offices world wide?
Now that is the biggest coincidence I've ever seen.....that first link you sent, gensler, was sent to me by the client....it appears that gensler is a competitor of theirs...
nice work by the way....
I'm keen on the idea of users in other locations being offered up features from their locality.... in other words, sure, there's a global site...but the features and stuff that appear on it should be influenced by the country you're viewing the site from...(while obviously allowing you to view other stuff as well)
haha Gensler are kind of competitors of my firm too, and my boss is obssessed by them. We are currently rethinking our web presence and this company's name always comes up in meetings.
one problem i had with the gensler site, was that it's flash.... these folks i'm in talks with are looking for something with a content management system so they can keep adding new projects, photos, writing, etc.....
