Good morning guys!! Here is my latest demo reel.
    http://vimeo.com/36228172

Its some old works from 2007 until now...

and the confession I have to make is... I am really tired of Motion Design... maybe this profession has a very short lifespan?

    I want a change...

really nice... sorry you're feeling the burnout though...

... are you able to walk away for a few weeks?... give yourself a holiday from working for a bit - you're too good to just stop doing it. :)

    nice reel.
    take a holiday.
or go visit a place where people have shit jobs and get paid pennies then you'll realise that sitting in front of a computer in the warmth of a studio or home making fun animations isn't such a bad career after all.

yeah dude, lots of cool 3d animations. Saw a clip or two that looked like it had a little live action in it, would love to see you do more moGra overlays on that stuff. High marks!

As for the short-livedness, we all run into the burnout feeling. You can try a few things before you pull the plug and see if it opens new doors for you creatively. You could diversify, go try your hand at directing live action or a new discipline that pushes you. You could do some work for causes you like (which can be fullfilling). Or, you could take a sabbatical, go do some things that are just stimulating on the "actually have a life" level. Guess I am saying go "do do do" to put some wind in your sails again.

    • This is gold, thanks for the advice!

Wow, thank you very much for the advice folks. I completely forgot to check on this thread I started! Got very busy over the last days!!

yeah, I will try to follow all the advices. Motion Graphics it is still the way I pay my bills, and get to travel, do freelance here and there in the planet, and that aspect of the profession I really love.

But funny UKV mentioned the live action stuff.. this is what I been loving more and more to do. Its so unpredictable, its so natural, its so warm... the person is right there in fron tof the camera, and you cant just adjust their Z position whenever you want...

Oh well, I guess we all go through that right?

I've also had a crazy idea to become a chef... get into a cooking course for a long period of time... and see what happens afterwards...

Why —in your opinion— are you tired of Motion Design ?

I guess its because I cant really move forward with my style... there are heaps of kids doing things a lot better than me, and i just dont feel like pushing forward anymore... i get a bit tired already of thinking of opening after effects...
but then, when I think of holding a camera... i get all that excitment I had when i started working as a designer... its just a great feeling.
