€59,03 a month for a year subscription or €88,55 month by month.

    Are they crazy?

    • cheaper than buying and upgrading every few monthsmonospaced1/3
licensce still allows for 2 computers to run the software, + you get the mac&pc version.uan2/3
      new versions aren't mac/pc anymore, actuallymonospaced3/3

    $50... where's the trap?
No internet = no job ?

    • doesn't require internet except to download the initial softwaremonospaced1/5
yo need to connect once a month. then they work offline for the rest of the month.uan2/5
the trap is that they get the customers who don't want to pay $2K + $500/yr for upgrades... lots of people like me, for examplemonospaced3/5
like me, for example, will now be paying customersmonospaced4/5

$50 is a REALLY good deal and makes it affordable for a lot of folks that aren't in a big $$$ company. Almost seems too good to be true. There's gotta be some catch.

It's saying "entry price of $49.99 per month if you sign up for an entire year". What I want to know is what is it after that year expires?

"I know you're in the middle of your project but you subscription has expired and Creative Cloud is NOOOW $100 a month!!! Who do you think we are Macromedia? Hahahahaha! Adobe-Apple Systems Inc 2013".

@74LEO Adobe has a CMS... they bought GoodBerry (I think that was it?) and renamed it Adobe Business Catalyst. If you ever use it, you'll want to shoot yourself.

This is a great move for Adobe as it will attract new customers who might have otherwise pirated the software. It will make it easier for them to raise the price incrementally without losing customers.

Has Adobe stated how they plan to deal with discontinued software on the cloud? Say you're using one of the less common apps in the package, and they decide to discontinue it. Is that it? How long will you be able to continue working with the files?

    @nb

The files created with this subscription software are good indefinitely. It's only the software that's tied to a subscription and it will simply ask for a password once the time period you've paid for runs out. Anyway, the $50 price covers EVERY piece of their CS software, so if they discontinue something it doesn't really matter, you still have everything.

    • Yes, but what if you have the file and the software doesn't exist to open it?nb1/3
Obviously, they aren't going to stop supporting .indd, etc. But I wonder about the smaller apps.nb2/3
I figure they'll just discontinue updates to it. The software, technically, should run even if "discontinued."monospaced3/3

So this one year license will allow me to use this software on 2 computers and a Tablet? So that mean $59.99 a month will cover my iMac + MacbookPro + iPad?

    iMac + MacbookPro + iPad = $59.99 a month = $600 a year?!!? that sounds like a great deal.

    • lol, who said it works on a tablet? hahahahahahahahahah!monospaced1/2
"touch apps" thats what i meantBozMan2/2

What about Mac OS Lion (document versions, stability, etc)?

    • Adobe isn't using Apple's messed up and forced autosave/versions, thankfully.raf1/2
      Versions/Resume are fucking terrible.
And this is coming from an Apple fan

and by tablet I'm taking about the "touch apps" they keep mentioning. Sorry I forget some on here need things spelled out in order for them to understand. So $59.99 for 2 computers but can't be used at the same time but you also get access to all the "Touch Apps" as well.

    • still not a bad dealBozMan1/3
      yes, a great deal, and it's only $50/month, not $60 (for a year)monospaced2/3
yea thats what I meant but I just discovered as a teacher I can get it for $29.99 a month.BozMan3/3

Implying Adobe ever actually fix any bugs at all and don't just fix them in the next CS revision for $$$$.

    • the whole POINT of this service is to upgrade more often without major CS revisionsmonospaced

we are a two man band on CS4

Would you buy CS5.5 and get the free upgrade to CS6 for £1200

    OR

    pay $100 per month?

The answer is kind of obvious but just wondered what you thought...
