Get off the grass...if you piss on a corpse, you're proving that when all is said and done, you're close to being a savage as well.
And don't start with the "well the Taliban have done this and the Taliban have done that". If you're better than them, how about showing it.

war sucks period.
well unless your cashing in on it, then then war is AWESOME!!
- ukit20
At this point Taliban is just a word for anyone who fights back.
90% of these guys aren't involved with international terrorism, they are just fighting because U.S. is occupying their country.
- You know this by what experiences? Easy to gloss it over without having any real knowledge of the situation.handle
- _niko0
I think they were just trying to help the Taliban get rid of Jelly-fish stings.
- bobkat0
@handle - I understand that they go through horrific ordeals. Not denying that at all. And maybe it says more about the military not looking after the mental health of soldiers on the ground than the actions of these men. And the media will certainly take this and run with it - cos it sells.
But there is no excuse for what they are doing. It is wrong.- shake your hand sir. No excuse for sure, but should try to understand rather than ridicule and ask for their head...handle

I dont in any way say that this is becoming of a Marine and definitely not something to grandstand with, but it's easy to make a quick judgement and say that these guys are fucked up American soldiers and they should be reprimanded etc... and walk away without trying to figure out why this happens because it does happen, and I'm sure it has happened a lot more times without cameras around to record it; in this war and many wars before it.
This is a behavior that happens when a perfectly good person has to do and experience extreme situations and has to find a way to deal. None of you can say how you would behave if you had to deal with the same shit. Strange behaviors show up in all areas in which people have to deal with death.
Just stop and think if you had to deal with the stresses of almost meeting your mortality, killing of another human being, watching your buddy die, etc.

panacea is going to be pissed.
- ukit20
Let's say its your friend or family they are peeing on. Still gonna cut them some slack because of job related stress?
These "Taliban" have families too, I know that's hard to imagine when you get swept up in the patriotic moment of watching Marines pee on a corpse.
- I understand the other side and its horrible... I am in no way swept up in a patriotic moment. I am actually ashamed, but try to understand before making judgement thats all.handle
- to understand their behavior rather than judge it.handle
- but you're okay with them murdering the people in the first placescarabin
- just not the urine, 'cause that's ickyscarabin
- fyoucher10
And I'm sure when the Taliban soldiers kill and capture American soldiers they're cleaning them up, giving them a good shave, putting them in a fancy wooden casket, and giving them a proper burial.
Maybe you haven't seen what they do AND videotape. Try Googling Taliban and decapitation and see what you get. Let's not compare pissing on a corpse to beheading or murdering mass amounts of innocent people.
- Ah. That makes pissing on the corpses alright then.bobkat
- I piss on my wife's leg in the shower, it's not that bad. She doesn't even know sometimes.fyoucher1
- Then again, try watching one of those videos and let me know if you still feel the same way.fyoucher1
- Neither is right. Not the point. Vandalising a corpse is in no way justified, is my point. Either side.bobkat
- Not saying its right. The fact that they're even fighting is wrong. What I'm saying is big fucking deal. These soldiers deal with a hell of a lot more trying to keep innocent people safe. Get past the religious POV and try to imagine what the soldiers go through.fyoucher1
- ...a hell of a lot more trying to keep innocent people safe. Get past the religious POV and try to imagine what the soldiers go through.fyoucher1
- ...through.fyoucher1
- why are they there, stop saying they deal with blah and blah, ffs
do I have to remind you that you invaded "their" countryGeorgesII - Yeah, we're invading their country to get rid of Al Queda. Maybe you forgot why the war started in the 1st place.fyoucher1
- TheMagicSheep0
why...
there's no justifying that sort of thing...
but WHY would you film it?
- Apologies MagicSheep. Didn't know you were on this board. I wouldn't have posted that pic above.fyoucher1
- CALLES0
this would get people a little less pissed off if they had actually peed on them before killing them for some strange paradox
- ukit20
"trying to keep innocent people safe"
Call me cynical but I think more people are on the side of the "Taliban" than the U.S. at this point. Only real question is what we are doing over there.

- there u go again...handle
- what r u smoking ukit? come on read what you wrote... again... and yet again... now really!?handle
- i wont call u cynical, but i will call u retarded.handle
- handle, you sound really stupidfxone
- If you remove whatever you feel about the Taliban and replace it "country being invaded over their resources, not wmds/terroritzzz) or whatever the faux reason)", and see it as people just defending the unjust invasion, you may see his point.Peter

VICE put it pretty well...
"People are understandably upset after video emerged of what appears to be U.S. Marines urinating on Afghan corpses. If they're surprised, however, they need to pick up a history book. Soldiers piss on corpses in every war. On both sides. Soldiers rape civilians, as a rule, in every war that has ever taken place since time immemorial. Rape is a weapon of war. Piss, some people are now learning, is a weapon of war. Some fucked-up, disgusting combination of the two, plus shit and dismemberment, is a weapon of war. Bad guys do it. "Good" guys do it. When a country’s government decides to wage war, they are deciding to sanction piss, rape, and the torture and murder of women and children who had the colossally bad fortune to be in the midst of the war. When the U.S. decided to enter into Afghanistan and then Iraq, they (i.e. Congress and the president, and the myriad companies that profit from war) knew this. I'm not singling out the U.S. here; while we're as good at implementing the more horrific, soul-erasing weapons as anyone, we're not alone. Does your country have a military? In times of war, they kill people, and sometimes they piss on them.
If it isn't clear why I'm detailing this, it is because I want to express an old thought: war is the very worst thing there is. And if you command an army, you better the fuck understand, in your probably cowardly, definitely privileged, likely draft-dodging bones, that when you send soldiers out to fight and die, they are going to do some unconscionable, irreversible things. And they are doing it in your name. Because you told them to. And pissing on a corpse is a FUCKING POEM compared to issuing an order for beautiful young people to go and kill other beautiful young people in a land far away, because you, in essence, “felt like it.”"

- but we all grew up on disney where the good guys are all honorable and perfect and married people are happy n shitmoldero
- yeah, and i don't think that was an accident. ever see holy mountain?scarabin
- it's alarming to think of how little in our lives isn't the result of conditioning by someone who profits from it in some wayscarabin
- yeah, sure, "we told them to"Jaline
- @scarabin: fucking amazing post
@Jaline: Yes, if your country is at war, the people of that country are responsible for sending them.handle - yes jaline, we trained them to look down on the enemy and treat them like non-humansscarabin
- country are responsible.handle
