hmmm, okay for what it's worth (not more than two cents!), if it was down to me I'd hilight:Boy and Condor
Fiesta San Pedro, Plaza San Pedro
Chickens in Granada
Guatemalan women in San Andreas Xecul
Women selling chickens in Chichicastenango
man sets up his market stool in Chichicastenango
woman in butchers behind meat in Oaxaca
lady selling traditional dress. Guatemala
Hogar, masks with a group of girls
100 meter pool, Hotel Arribas— they really work on many levels (they stand on their own, they'd be just as strong without any text info)
I'd leave out stuff like the tucan and Playa Cocles, the straight market vendor shots, the tele shots of the horses, that sort of thing — because although they're very nice holiday shots they dont have the extra level of meaning.

one of the few photographer's websites that looks good on my Android phone....
Only critique I might add is.... who is your target market? Are you aiming for getting gigs photographing travel, kids clothes, interesting destinations, cultural experiences, etc? The work is quite good, its more multi-faceted than most commercial photographer's websites, that's a good thing for me as a viewer.. but I don't know how art buyers would see it.... if that's your target?!?
- A very good point, and one I'm not entirely sure on.imadesigner

Love the work. Website is clean and minimal but here's some feedback.
Bug:
- Sometimes the info details for the pics don't appear. If I go to another section and then come back, then they reappear. I'm on OSX and FF8 btw.Text overall (Navigation and photo details copy):
Don't like the centered copy. It's creating weird shapes and leaving a few words on the last line in the paragraph (i.e. Central America & Mexico, it leaves a few words on the last line.)Navigation:
Again, not crazy about the centered text. Maybe look into another option. You'll probably end up running into issues when you have more work and more sub-nav items.I would put About and Contact somewhere else, out of the work nav possibly. Thought it was harder to find than it should be. That should be one of the easiest things to navigate to. Maybe even keep it up while you're browsing through the work.
About and Contact section:
Again, not crazy about the center-aligned copy. Would love to see a picture of "the photographer". Give some life to your personal story, like how your work does. Maybe even change the boldness, color, or something to the contact info so it stands out more.Extras:
Would be nice if I clicked an image I got a high-rez full-screen version.- Heh, didn't even notice your "Personal section". Good stuff, like the toesfyoucher1

Thanks for the bump. The feedback is also very appreciated.

BUMP
I am constantly coming to back to this site to get ideas and inspiration for my own site. imadesigner, I was wondering if you had further worked on some of the criticism qbn gave. such as the editorial process and target audience for marketing.
- Also did you shoot all this with a 5D? As in the first one. Not the MKII?HijoDMaite

The quality of the photos is excellent. You have a good eye for composition and the colors are perfect.
What lens did you use mostly? Or did you switch lenses as you walked the streets? two cameras?
- I use 3 lenses. Canon 24-70, 70-200 and 16-35. Mounted on a 5D.imadesigner
- Thanks man. Looks like an excellent set.HijoDMaite

Outstanding work.

Quite a few very good photos there!
One thing I would add to the site is captions. Photo editors and picture buyers love captions--they're expected, and they get viewers more involved with the image. And editorial pictures need to be supplied tp publications with captions.

Fantastic work there Tom!
Over all the site works very well. As said before I'm not that keen on the centered type, plus the captions feel a bit lost. Perhaps run them on a white band at the bottom of the photo.
About and contact get a bit lost

Rad work. Well done.
Agree with vaxorcist's target market comment from the previous page. If you do want to acquire work from your shots, then maybe have a 'commercial' section. As it stands the Broer&Zus work gets a bit lost amongst your dope travel stuff.
Think a section like that helps assuage the fears of any prospective agency ArtBuyer that you have done that sort of work before and that you're a safe pair of hands.

All nice work - "I'm going to be a dad" - brilliant

The photos are nice and the site is simple. There isn't too much to it.
It's fine.
