Tonights actions by Stern has me wondering just like all of the other enthusiasts, fans, etc. what Stern's true intentions were.
Yes Mr. McMahon's actions were shocking but lets see in detail what transpired here.
The Hornets player wanted to be traded, thats a fact. This has gone down before, like when Sir Charles did it back in 92. He forced a trade to PHX after a couple of years of bitching.
The Hornets team was ready to oblige. Thats a fact. The team was ready to take a decent collection of bigs to build a foundation for the post-Paul era.
Then the commish intervened.
Did the commish feel the offer was not enough and that the player was forcing the issue a bit to forcefully? Was that the issue that bothered him?
Was this about trying to get rid of season-long distractions like the Melo press last season that hovered around the league like a cloud full of whine?
Is this really about the power of influence and the attempt to smother that influence before it affects the league?
Is this really the elephant in the room that is creating such angst between playas and ownaz?
Only in the mind of the commish, is the truth found.

I live in Nashville now, so I'm stoked to be able to have a decent near-home team (vs. the Wizards last year when I was in Washington DC), and to get out to some games. Tickets are fairly affordable this season given last year's playoff run into the semi's.
I am most excited for:
• The Timberwolves' new lineup of synergized, young players.
• Ricky Rubio specifically.
• Season-long CP3 and Blake Griffin cross-court, alley-oop hook-up's.
• Seeing how bad the Celtics are this season.
• Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen finally retiring at the end of this season.
• Kevin Durant getting a run for his money as league point leader.
• Derrick Rose vs. Ricky Rubio vs. CP3 for MVP title.
• Heat's shifted focus to defense; interested to watch that play out.Mostly can't wait for church (playoffs) to start...

Huge night in SoCal for basketball tonight! Lakers vs. Clippers.
Kobe has three games in a row with 40 points or more and the Clippers are trying to come up with the most talent ever in a Clippers squad. Look for very physical game.

Carmelo Anthony sucks.
He's a team wrecker and needs to GTFO of NYC.
