This is not exactly an album, but it is over 30 mins of instrumental music. When the Design Museum did a retrospective of Peter Savilles work a few years ago New Order did a soundtrack piece that lasted roughly the amount of time it took to walk round the show. I bought it after I came out ad can highly recommend finding a copy if you like the that band:

This is from a surf movie a couple years old, the band is called Bluebird and they recorded a full instrumental album for the film and it IS FANTASTIC. Melodic, heady, progressive, but easy to follow. Really good shit.
