nice lights

a cinematic light that doesn't flicker up to 15,000 fps.
way more energy efficient too
Also - there's no need for ballast and uses so little electricity you could plug it into your kitchen wall
heatless too...(okay, the founder/producer is my brother in law and we did the ID/site) :-)
...but seriously, check them out - they're signing tons of contracts with studios right now

they did a great job with it, image looks good.
32 bit color correction?

"the footage is VERY noisy (the post guys hate this camera) and you really need significant amount of post (color correction and noise reduction) to make it work."
story of my life.

tungsten lights flicker? didn't know that
- pr20
yeah... all is nice until you actually start working with it... Outside you are all good but inside all traditional lights (thungsten or HMIs) stop being useful cause they flicker at those extreme speeds.
the footage is VERY noisy (the post guys hate this camera) and you really need significant amount of post (color correction and noise reduction) to make it work.
- wow, I thought it looked nice, not noisy at allmonospaced

Just for clarity—I had nothing to do with this project, I was just inspired by it. To answer your (jon_d) questions, on the vimeo page is info about their lenses and a link to their blog on this: http://www.nextlevelpictures.com…

Also, who is the producer?
have you ever done narrative and not just pretty pictures?
thanks.
- jon_d0
