I tried to see this movie twice over the weekend, both times in 3D.
First showing 3 tickets left, we needed 2, 2 were together, we'll take them. "Sorry can't sell those, reserved for disabled or handicapable persons." I ask in return... "So you have 1 ticket left?" "Uh yeah."
So I get tickets for a later showing, we get prime seats, near where we'd like to sit, almost perfect seats in my opinion. the people around us seem cool, it gets dark, it's a pretty full theatre in a few minutes, the previews are rolling...
The house lights then come on when we become informed that there is a storm now turning dangerous with high winds and hail so they're suspending all shows in case the place needs evacuated.
Understanding we're all somewhat safe inside a solid brick building with no windows nearby, I ask the cop standing security at the refund counter if it were in the best policy of the city's safety to allow such a large company to suspend services putting all these people in their cars back on the street therefore at risk of danger from the oncoming storm and each other in traffic considering the low visibility. He kinda laughed until I didn't smile back, then seemed to begin discussing it into his shoulder mounted radio. We walked off then got annihilated by hail as I drove us home.
Yay, weekend vacation out of town.

I just got back from the theatre. Saw it in 3D. The first 3/4ths of the movie I was really digging the story, but felt like the 3D was so-so at best. Then they got to New York and started raping my eyes with special effects.
Easily the most epic movie I've ever seen. A++, Four Thumbs Up, etc. etc.

I saw it last night and loved the film, pretty much everything I think has been said - Hulk steals the show, great banter and action scenes etc.
But I have to say, I hated the 3D, I really want to see it again in 2D. I just thought it felt really gimmicky - which as far as I'm concerned is all 3D is.

Mark Ruffalo was easily the best Hulk so far. I think he has signed up for other appearances.

For all the money they threw at the film, I am surprised it was not shot in 3d, but was post converted. converted 3d == the worst
- believe it's harder & slower to shoot in 3D - plus often it's the studio not the filmmakers who want itinteliboy
- It's much harder to shoot in 3D. Lots of planning needs to be done around it. Changes every shot.CygnusZero4

i dont like superhero movies. this one was cool though, I loved that 1 quick shot with the cam inside the car while is was exploding/flipping.
- that was the best scene in MI:Ghost Protocol, the in-car flipping off the bridge into river shot...prophetone
