So I started my new job today, only to be told that we design all are website pages using Indesign, FFS. Turns out the person who has been working on the websites and other marketing materiel just used Indesign because that what was used when the Graphic print department was responsible for the updates. And to make thing really difficult, she does not know Photoshop. Really!
I had to disagree, but got on with trying to use indesign which I have not touched in 2 years, not frustrating at all then.

That what I was thinking. To tell you the truth, the only people who know what going on in that department for the web side of things is the developers. The person who has been designing so far had no understanding of CSS or HTML development, and I'm not to sure the person knows why they should be using PH to design website in the first place. Arrrrrrrr!
I'm working with the marketing Director at the moment so maybe I will have a little word and try and sort things out.
- Be the change you want to see in the world pillhead... ; )ideaist
- I'm sure the devs will back you up; can't imagine they like getting ID code?monkeyshine

Also, I know a lot of you are still doing websites with Photoshop, but I hear that Fireworks is miles better for the job. I'm not a designer just a web dev.
- when it doesn't crash, yeahmonkeyshine
- Yeah that's true, crashes a lot.ernexbcn

Best bet would be to set up a meeting (doesn't have to be you, since you're so new) with yourself, the developers, and anyone else involved in design/revisions and talk it through. You'll have an open conversation about the process, discuss ID vs PS, and everyone else will hear it first-hand. Trying to resolve this one-person-at-a-time will just be frustrating. Good luck.
