"Senior Technical Project Manager"
The word "Level" doesn't feel right with me.

Ok...so far thanks...I will not be changing the title of my job per say, more of what I freelance as, and use in my linkedin / monster / dice profiles...
I want to be considered for the next level of jobs [strategy] instead of just managing projects [implementing other's strategy or having to get my ideas approved or validated] while I am at my current job.
Does that make sense?

how about
senior project manager

i dislike when job titles get so ambiguous and condescending. perhaps you should rethink your career and become something like "bus driver" or "doughnut glazer" or simply "unemployed"
for real though, i dont like long titles either, good luck on your search for simplicity.

Continuity: Traffic managers manage the dockets and workflow for all accounts and tell designers/production what takes priority. Project managers manage the resources and timelines of a project, telling the traffic manager what takes priority. Account managers manage clients and their projects, and tell project managers what takes priority. Sometimes the jobs are combined in smaller studios (under 40-50 people) but traffic is usually distinct from the rest.
- OK, so I'm not completely crazy in expecting the three to be totally different. Thought I was losing it for a second.Continuity
- I agree with i_monks definition of dutiestgqt
- I like to think traffic coordinators as waitors or waitresses within the company.pinkfloyd
- I've met a "Digital Ninja" before.ben_

Someone explain to me the difference between a traffic manager and a project manager and an account manager cos, from what I've observed, there isn't any sort of appreciable difference between the three anymore, except that AMs are expected to also do sales.
Aaaaaaaaanyway, what's wrong with your title? Does it describe what you do? Are you a PM with seniority that works on technical projects, as opposed to creative ones?

I'm a Senior Level Technical Project Manager.
I HATE that title. Can someone suggest a better title that isn't ridiculous.
Also take a snipe at me because I am a project manager....
