All I am saying is that you are scoffing at something that you truly cannot verify for yourself is true or not.
I'm not saying the earth is hollow, I don't fucking know, and it seems unlikely... People scoffed when people started saying the earth was round... it seemed unlikely to their level of understanding at the time.
We still know fuck all and rather than thinking that we know everything and blindly taking everything mainstream science tells us as fact, its prudent to have an open mind and understand that although we know a hell of a lot more than we did 200 years ago - we are still babies in our journey as a species.
- And you call ME what? Wow.monospaced

I've first heard of this theory a month ago.. I googled everything I could find and one thing that is so amazing to me is that if this is science fiction, if this theory does sound like a great inspiration for a novel or for a movie.. how come nobody ever made anything inspired by this?
Not a single movie? Ok there are shit movies like "Journey to the Center of the Earth" and "The Core"... but not a single production on a theory that the earth could be hollow.
I think that if indeed earth is hollow, there are people that would go many ways to protect that secret, imagine what could happen if we turned on the news and watch the latest coverage from the entrance to the inner earth.

OK, point taken, there are things about the world we don't know.
But does that really mean we not allowed to scoff over anything, no matter how ridiculous? And if not this, then what? I say scoffing is warranted here...

Oh and scoff all you want. We know how the planet formed and that it's solid with a molten iron core. Even considering this alternative is borderline retarded.
- You know this for a fact? Nope.set
- Of coursemonospaced
- Oh you've been down there?set
- Don't need to. If one know anything about earth sciences they need not even question it.monospaced
- You simply cannot say you know it to be a fact. You don't.set
- You believe it to be a fact, as I do.set

First off, this line...
"While the first concepts were crude, this 'crazy' idea has slowly developed into a viable alternative to the solid Earth model"
No. That's not true. If you want us to believe this stuff, you're going to have to be honest and accurate. Something like this...
"While the first concepts were crude, this 'crazy' idea has slowly developed into a crazy and crude concept"

Okay, so the next line...
"In light from today's technology, many of our findings point towards a hollow structure as the only method to explain many of today's scientific findings."
This needs to be clarified. Something like...
"In light from today's technology, many of our findings point towards a hollow structure as the only method to explain many of today's scientific findings. By 'our findings' I am of course referring to the elite collective of retards who masturbate on turds and who gather in my dorm room whenever nurse lets us all be in one place, so we can develop our ridiculous crackpot theories".

I'm going to try and read the rest now.

Just out of interest... how do you guys know it's not hollow?
- Just saying...set
- Have you ever watched how the solar system was formed on the SCI HD show? It was actually a great show.
Iggyboo - Forget the name but basically they did talk about the wild idea that earth had two stages because it was hit by a large entity in the past.Iggyboo

How the hell is the "center of gravity" at a point in between the outer crust and the base of the crust ? This is not how the center of gravity works.
The center of gravity is still in the middle of the sphere - everything supposedly on the inside surface will still fall towards the middle.
That level of stupid is absolutely ridiculous.
Punch yourself hard in the face and never leave the house or turn the computer on, there are real people in the world trying to use their brains and their influence to improve things, or at least get by. This amount of nonsense polluting someone's mind is like a cancer - we cannot tolerate it. It's not an 'alternative' view, it's just utter utter bullshit, unimaginative, unironic, pointless, tedious crap, don't ever go near your computer again.

Okay, I read it all.
I think this could all be true, on reflection.
I take back what I said up there. I'm pretty much sold on this concept now.
Thanks.
