I prefer the worn look. It seems more manly to me. new boots are way too shiny and, well, new.

I might have to take it to a shoe repair place, and see what they can do. I really do like the rough look to it.

I read the title as "Should I Get New Boobs?" Needless to say, I'm a little disappointed with this thread.

Have them cleaned up. They can last decades longer. New sole, new insole, leather treatment. They'll be better than new because they'll retain the soft creases. This shouldn't cost more than $50.

If you're in NYC, this place works wonders. I took a pair of shoes here that I was sure were ruined, but they made all better. http://leatherspa.com/

are boots acceptable to wear at the office?
I never had boots in my file, but after seeing this thread I want to buy.
how about the ones with the steel spikes on the tip? the so called roach-killers? Not sure which ones to get.

Just get some leather balsam or mink oil and give them a good rubbin' every 2-3 months. Make sure you wipe them down with a damp cloth first.
