Gee wiz...who would have thought a top class cyclist would be sprung in a doping scandal?
Why does anyone bother following cycling anymore.

few announcements could make me simultaneously feel bad for both Andy Schleck and Lance.

The problem comes from far... if you wish spectacle, you need dopped cyclist.
Nobody can do 21 etapes, this way (at this rithme), without dying from pain.
After this... i can tell you a pair of things about French cycling federation and UCI hypocrisy

I follow it every year when it comes on Versus, it's a joy to watch on the couch while drinking a beer. A bit cruel, but oh well.
Sounds like it was a drug that eases asthma, not a performance inducing drug. He'll appeal and have it removed. He's a target, just like lance was. Whomever follows in his footsteps will be a target too.

not sure what you guys are talking about, Contador means accountant in spanish, but somehow I read something about bicycles, lets kick this up a notch

at this point the only thing that could save cycling would be to give out free sticks to bystanders and have them try and throw the sticks into the spokes of the bikes as they zip by. make cycling more interactive.

Man... what got me into cycling was when I blew my engine in 2005. Was gonna cost $6k to fix, and I owed $4k on the car. Bummer. I just stored it and bought a Cannondale that weekend. Been riding ever since.

Still wanted Andy Schleck to win. Stupid chain.
- Schleck's a pimp; basing my own routine off of his...ideaist
- If Frank had stayed in, Andy probably would have had a large lead ,and would have won.PublicVoice

"Spain's PM 'influenced' Contador aquittal over doping, international cycling chief claims
NTERNATIONAL cycling's chief claimed today that Alberto Contador's doping aquittal had to be appealed because Spain's Prime Minister and other powerful Spaniards interfered in the case.
Iinternational Cycling Union chief Pat McQuaid said UCI had no choice but to appeal the decision by Spain's cycling body to clear Alberto Contador of knowingly using a banned substance.
The case will be taken to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.
McQuaid said he believes the case has suffered from political interference in Spain, where three-time Tour de France champion Contador received support from those high in the government.

Contador is a good villain. Glad to see him pinched. i have mixed feelings that he'll be allowed to race again this autumn (Vuelta). C'est la vie.
