They are both extremely stupid. I mean look at those logos. What is that? What the fuck is that!?

I think they have a point and its an excellent way of ruining their competition. If you look at the brief they use it in the exact same way as the sony logo on the phone, same context. a green spherical logo with a white swirl and the reflection is the same too. clearly infringing on some territory.
