I get that Webkit is an engine, i was wondering if anyone knew of a framework i could use that worked on mobile devices and was cross platform. (minus IE, cuz i dont need it to be required)
i figure if i move away from rendering engines (Gecko /webkit) i may have better compatibility...
and yeah CSSdesk is nice, i hope the move to the functionality of pastebin

that cssdesk is nice, would be cool if you could create an account and store / load different codes...

you have -moz for mozilla

this is the example.. http://cssdesk.com/njvKL
but this isnt cross platform friendly. I was looking at jquery
http://www.htmldrive.net/items/s…but i am still doing the research for mobile devices..

I assume you mean javascript framworks.. yes those should work on all browsers. CSS3 support, however, differs between all the browsers. Correct me if I'm wrong, but also differs between desktop safari and mobile safari just slightly as well (or maybe that's only HTML5 aspects). What are you doing for IE support? Just a custom style sheet and hiding all of it? lol

So i made a text mask with a background image moving behind it . All done in css/webkit. I did this kind of quickly because it was a perfect method and i was excited. (without realizing the Mozilla support issues.)
so my question is three part: Are there alternatives or workarounds to supporting firefox with webkit usage? if no, Can i use one framwork on all browser engines? also an jquery do this, even on mobile devices?
and one last Q, if i use Gecko wont i run into the same problem? but with chrome/safari support?
hope this makes sense.. and Thanks in advance!
