It's weird how there is always so much fake stuff with Daft Punk releases...I remember when Discovery came out there was an entire fake "album" with the correct song titles that was leaked beforehand by someone. This way back in the days of Napster.
- same with the human after all disc. unless that is the one you actually meant.lvl_13

I find the marketing the label is doing excessive, but I don't have a fucking clue about marketing an album. All I know is these guys are so big they can release an album without promoting it and it will still sell loads in my opinion.

The record label is marketing the hell out of the album before the release date in order to cash in on pre-orders. Once the album is released, we all know the majority of people will get it for free. The pre-order push also strategically compensates for the risk of the album not being well received when released, potentially resulting in lackluster sales.

Listen to Pharrell Williams lip sync live to whats going to be the most over played song since U2's Beautiful Day, Outkast's Hey Ya and Gnarls Barkley's Crazy all put together...

They aint shifting genres. There are claims that their stuff is "groundbreaking" because they are using real instruments and real singers in their songs and using more analogue gear.
That is all.
They have the marketing budget to make this seem like what they are doing is more impressive than putting a man on the moon.A friend went for a preview listening of the new album.
He's a Daft Punk fan.
His reaction was "Meh."
