AI - DXF to PNG export fail - Help would be awesome 33 Responses

I have a floor plan in DXF, need to export it to PNG at a very high pixel dimension, 12k on the large dimension. I have created the artboard at 40" in the large dimension and I am exporting at 300ppi. The issue is that AI is telling me that I have exceeded the PNG file dimension write ability. Is there a set limit inherent in the PNG format or is it the exporter? Does anyone have a solution, short of having to slice and rebuild the image?

export as ai. convert in photoshop?

Jay - Thanks, that worked like a charm. I guess I figured that they would have the same export capabilities for PNG, but lessoned learned for me. I am in your debt. Thanks again
