Besides freelancing on the side, what about something crafty like an etsy product line, maybe tshirts, sell unused photos/icons to stock sites, or giving guitar lessons?

i once published a book on local artists- had about 30 people i knew in it. 2 page spread on each- 1 page photo, and then a small bio on the next.
straight out of the gate I had 30 buyers (the artists)- they each bought a few copies to had out as christmas gifts.easy money- gonna do it again, the more artists i include, the more i guarantee selling.
