  I guess anything is possible, but knowing they have another season lined up and how the entire show is based around Jimmy and Nucky, hard for me to believe anything major is happening to them this season.

  If Nucky goes to prison, I guess the next season could pick up years later after his release, or someone does something to have him released. I dont know.

  By the way the show is loosely based on the real Nucky. Not sure if everyone knew this already.

  Nucky has opined more than once that Jimmy couldn't hack it at Princeton, suggesting that he caved to some sort of pressure.

  Now we, the viewers, have more insight into the circumstances of his Army enlistment, his emotional damage and his violent temper.

  If Nucky thinks that Jimmy's hopelessly in over his head, then Nucky won't see what I think's coming.

  I was actually thinking the same thing. It seems like they're not sure what the hell to do with the female characters. They're all pretty interesting....just as intriguing as the men (in my opinion, anyway), but still...there's something missing. Like they're all ultimately ruined by what's going on around them.

  He knew it was the end of the road for him though. No weapons, gave dogtags to his son, wouldnt let Richard come to also be killed, his mother even knew it. You could tell.

  ^ Yes. Is a 3rd season guaranteed? They killed of not only Jimmy, but his mom, the "masked sniper"... a lot of characters and relationships. To be honest Margarate's side of the script is boring, but they seem to be going in that direction. As good as Nucky/Buscemi is to watch, his character doesn't carry the show on it's onw, imo. (I'm such a geek, but I really liked this show so far.)
