    Anyone have any luck discovering an ap that allows you to run flash on the Ipad? I bought my Ipad for portfolio presentations, but the majority of the sites/videos that I have done are in flash.

    it's called a fucking laptop. it runs everything! whether it be a pc or a mac. it is amazing!

    and if you say anything about the cost of a laptop, i will say you can easily get one for cheaper than an ipad...especially if you are just using it to show your portfolio (as you claim). ffs.

    Even assuming you get "frash" to work (has anyone actually done it?), the iPad's processor is weaker than a typical desktop or laptop, which will make it difficult to run heavy duty animations smoothly. And then there's the issue of optimizing the Flash movies themselves for a touch screen interface.

    So yeah, not to be a dick but, you'd think you would have done your homework before throwing down $600-800. I haven't seen anything that says, here you go, Flash running smoothly on the iPad, have you?

    I was thinking of getting an ipad for home. as a ultra uber magazine gadget. reading the news with a cup of coffee. checking the latest on qbn etc... but was put off by the fact they'll be useless for porn.

    I think that you guys are taking this a little too personally. The question was posed to QBN who had either positive feedback or suggestions. Not to the dicks who frequent the site to give "real" designers a hard time, because of a lack of social life and or serious design skills. The idea that you even have time to post stupid ass comments when there is so much opportunity in the world for progression is beyond me. Get a life..... assholes.

    sounds like you got burnt on the ipad front mate.
    only thing i can really suggest is that you re-encode your videos to mp4. that way they will defo play on your ipad.
