Has anyone else had any issues with Flash crashing a lot within the new Safari 5.0.
It looks like, and smells like an Apple conspiracy to kill Flash to me!

yes. and rightfully so. fuck apple. (while i write this on my mac.)

I'm starting to feel.... discriminated
I use ff btw- Same here. Flash has never loused up for me.Continuity
- it has for me on windows, but it was like 5 banner ads trying to display animations and video at once. wtf?SteveJobs
- try keeping 50+ tabs open, all running flash sites. crash! Although flash player 10.1 is betternuggler

It has been crashing a lot on the QBN pages with Youtube videos on it...
- Youtube videos aren't exactly flash.monospaced
- Yes they are....
View the source Sparky.utopian - they're not animations per say but they most certainly are 'instances' of flash on the page..prophet
- They're a flash player loading an FLV, right?CyBrain
- They run on the iOS because they use a slightly different technology, actually.monospaced

"and if it doesn't crash on other browsers?"
it's implementation-specific. they wrote the plug-in for netscape and ie back in the day, and have since ported it to several other browsers. to their credit, porting from win32 to the mac has traditionally been the most hair-pulling experience imaginable - particularly with threading and graphics contexts/ui, but that's no excuse for a company the size of adobe.

no.

I don't use Safari that much, but Chrome has been crashing on me constantly as of the past couple weeks.
And it seems like it's Flash most of the time.

I have had no problems with Chrome or Firefox to date... And last week I downloaded Firefox 3.6.3 with no Flash crashes.

Nice try. Macs are way better than PCs. Everyone knows this... lol.

I don't think it's Apple fault. It's the implementation of Flash on the Mac.

Actually my flash sites work better on safari than they do on Windows.

At least my iPhone does NOT support Flash!
